Visible mending
Does anyone do this? I’ve just started to dabble but I’ve not done much. I live in an old house and I have a constant battle with clothes moths, this was a favourite top which got attacked. I tried invisible mending but wasn’t happy with the result, I tried to needle felt but the fibers were just not locking into one another so I decided to make some prefelt roundels and embroider them on. I’m pleased with the result and I might explore this a little more anyone else got examples of their visible mending?

I have way too many projects, but I'd love to see what you all are working on! Here's a picture of one of my many projects. I'm embroidering on a jacket I got at a Christmas party. The foundation will wash away with water.

Very nice! There are loads of possibilities with wash away fabric, a friend of mine has used it on knitting and it’s incredibly effective there. I have an old jacket which I’m trying to turn into a waistcoat and I want to embellish one shoulder and a lapel with stitching, I might think about using the wash away fabric there🧐 I’ve been using the tail end of the holidays to clear my workroom, finding all sorts of things!!!! My main project at the moment is turning these woven pieces into a loose jacket, I’ve nearly finished the weaving and I can see it in my head but I’ve not yet drafted the pattern, clearing my work space is stage one of clearing my head of mince pies and Christmas Goose!

Day and Time For a Zoom Meet-Up
I would love to have a live meet up weekly with anyone who is interested in chatting. I would like to know what day and time would work best for the most people. My best days are Mondays, Fridays, or Saturday mornings. I live in the US Mountain west. I know there are many different time zones represented by our group. What would work for you?

I would be quite interested but I’m in the uk so depending where other respondents are located that might not be possible
