From Kathy: Kathy L. Murphy I paint my story so others can visualize their own story in these portals of my imagination and curiosity of the world I create, beauty! What is your favorite type of art to create? Mixed Media paintings. Where do you find inspiration? ========================= For me everything I have created in art has to do with a lifelong love for being out in nature and escaping into the wonderful world of literature around the globe. I was highly influenced by my teachers and librarians who recognized that I had a preposterous for the arts which including dancing, starring in school productions, creating backdrops for school plays, to contests of drawing regarding conservation of our natural resources in saving our planet. Art saved me as in was very shy, no more What would you do with $25,000? =========================== I would have the funds to continue to tell my story and journey in this thing we call life. Everyone has an artist in them but often times they are told they do not. Art is expression and I want to travel the world to tell my story and demonstrate anyone can create art. I have taught classes in expression, first to get them use to the main medium I use Alcohol Inks, once I see their style and direction I introduce ways to showcase their own unique voice and style. Reading is my LIFE!
Good Morning my fellow book travelers! Paul Roberson, my Executive Director and I are madly trying to get everybody on board as we begin our passport to reading around the world with all of you! Please help us authors get all your author friends and fan base on board and Pulpwood Queens, have your book club members join individually or as your own book club chapter. We are now a totally inclusive book club. We want everyone to experience just how much fun we have in our 25 years of reading, soon 26. From the get-go the media has covered us from being featured on Oprah Winfrey's OXYGEN NETWORK, The Oprah Winfrey Show, a full three-page in color feature on "The Tastemakers" by Mary McNamara in The Los Angeles Times to features in print such as The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, time and many, many more. All of this happened because this small girl from Kansas grew up with her nose stuck in a book and daily trips to The Eureka Carnegie Library. You see, books saved me, and you can read all about it in my first book and memoir, "The Pulpwood Queens Tiara Wearing, Book Sharing Guide to Life" by Kathy L. Murphy and now working on its sequel, "Kathy L. Murphy Big Book Love, my continuing story of how books keep saving me. This book club has always been about having fun, thus tiaras were mandatory and reading good books was the only year. But we have grown up through the years and truly understand just how much authors, books, literacy, and reading help us to be enlightened, educated, and entertained. So many of our books have gone to film through the ages beginning with our very first book, "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya" Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells. Many authors we read first books and have now gone on to New York Times Bestselling authors, such as Jamie Ford, Lisa Wingate, Alice Hoffman, Adriana Trigiani, and so many, many more. Won't you join us today and get all your bookloving friend and fellow authors on board too. Here we go, onward and upward and do note! It's all about the stories, our authors, yours, mine, and ours!
Reading is my LIFE!

A New Experience
I'm excited to be in the group. My current project is The Countenance Trilogy. Book 1 is finished and available. Book 2 is in the works, and Book 3 is forming in notes! It's an unusual experience to take a book that was published long ago, revitalize it, and continue the story in two additional books! I'm an avid reader, as well.

Congrats!!!!
Thank you for remembering me and including me I'm so excited!!
Hi everyone! I’m Colotta Bergman, but you can call me 'Pina'—a nickname from my legal days that stuck! I’ve been a legal analyst and researcher since 1989 and am a proud Hofstra Law alumna. Originally from Queens, I now live in Atlanta with my husband of 20 years. I may not write books, but I certainly devour them. I’ve been a dedicated book lover since high school, and my time working in a college library only deepened my love for the physical craft of books. I’m a logophile and a mood reader who never goes anywhere without something to read. Being a lifelong 'legal eagle,' my favorite genre is true crime. I 'm a huge Ann Rule fan and am a huge fan of Kathryn Casey’s investigative work.
