Japan’s best micro brand (IMHO)
This group is super savvy when it comes to micro brands so I’m sure you’re all away of Minase. But just in case you aren’t. They hand paint every Hakose dial so technically every piece is a piece unique and their build quality is exactly what you would expect from the meticulous Japanese artisans. The Hakose is available is rose gold and yellow gold with 4 different dial styles each with very fall/autumn vibe which i find to be the most warm and lovely designs and you he attention to detail is simply impeccable. This is why they’re a little on the expensive side ($35,222) but it’s majesty suggests it might be worth it. They do have watches available from as little at $3000 which is more affordable but they don’t all have the hand pates dials and rose gold aesthetic. Check them out over at www.minasewatches.com

Finally got home where my 22mm nato was waiting for me. It looks a heck of a lot better on a 22mm than it did on the 18mm 😂 but yeah finally it works!!

@David Denham Jr oh interesting. On green huh? Never thought about that. I had it on a 20mm brown leather nato before. It actually looked pretty good. Thanks for the tip.
A little piece of Venice
So in 2016 i was riding a motorcycle through Italy from France to go see my family in Sicilia when stopped by a boutique watch store in Venice. I really wanted a watch to commemorate the experience and i was going through a bit of a Cartier Balloon Bleu phase when this thing caught my eye. It has no name on the dial caseback or anything simply a logo of wings. To this day I don’t remember what the cashier told me the brand was. I think i paid about €275 for it which I thought was a screaming deal for a decorated and skeletonized ETA clone. Anyway it’s a great addition to the collection and I wear it proudly today. It’s a great watch. Probably needs a service soon.

@Piers Gibson-Leader yeah I’m not sure if they’re painted blue or “blued” the process of burning steal to make it go blue. But it sure works

@Bill Tomlinson they’re almost impossible to get hold of. They make about 3000 watches a year and they have like 5000 names to clear this year. Makes sense why the used market might add a premium. They’re not all $1000 but it does happen often.

@Bill Tomlinson yeah Jody from just one more watch is running them. They look like great watches. Haven’t seen one in real life so I don’t know yet. When i get one on wrist ill do a review
The 2015 Omega Deville Co-Axial Tourbillon
I’ve recently been doing research into my favorite movement (Co-Axial) and i found this beautiful piece. This is not just a Co-Axial, not only is it the highest anti-magnetic rating of any watch but it also features a central tourbillon. Just an outstanding watch. New grail for me!

@Ka Me i know right? So many people today are doing a tourbillon for the sake of having one. Why? It’s not necessary just to boast. But this actually works.
