Hey all, I'm james, and i'm in Southwest UK. I literally started collecting this weekend, and bought my first triple Pitch Black set. Have always loved collecting things, and would love to collect from an investment level as well, and so I am looking forward to learning much more. Origin story: We bought the Pokemon Battle game for my daughters a few years ago, and I always loved watching the animated series, but never really got into it. I have been told that if I were a pokemon, I would literally be Toxtricity. ⚡️😌

Thanks so much for all the great advice @Jesse Kroon, I really appreciate the response and the time taken. I’ve decided to just focus on the Pitch Black set as my first intro, as I think the cards look awesome, and also all the suggestions seem to point to them being quite a small collection and so a great starter set. So far, I’ve managed to get some booster triple packs which have helped, and so far, I don’t have too many doubles which is nice. The first thing I’ve done is got my slips and a wallet so that I can see the collection grow, but is great to just sit and look at the artwork. Fortunately my business dictates my days around YouTube, and so I’ve found some great channels so far, and who knows, maybe my next client might be someone who I can learn from as I work.
