The Anatomy of Prayer Course is LIVE!
Hey everyone — I’m thrilled to share that our very first course, The Anatomy of Prayer, is officially live and on The Table. This course isn’t just about learning principles; it’s about being formed in the presence of God. Each lesson takes you deeper into prayer as communion, priesthood, and partnership with the Holy Spirit. If you’ve been sensing the call to rebuild your inner life—to move from knowing about prayer to living it—this is where to begin. Start with Lesson 1 today: What Is Prayer? Let’s grow together in prayer that’s alive, intimate, and powerful. Welcome to the Table.

I came across this song about oil ("All My Oil" by - Awakening Music & Vincent Lang) today, and I wanted to tie it to a recent Eklesia sermon. This was on 11/14/25 by Sophia, the prayer and executive director. This message came the week after Caleb had his prophetic message about the church needing to prepare spiritually. "So oil in the Bible, it represents several different things ... it represents is the Holy Spirit. And it also represents our readiness ... What are you giving to the Lord? What are you pouring out to him, out of your life daily, and giving to Him in partnership with the Holy Spirit?" She talked aobut consecration, choosing to be set aside for the Holy Spirit and walk closer to Jesus. That we can be transformed more into His likeness, that getting more ready for him is oil. "The church, we want the fire, we want the glory. But ... these simple clay oil lamps, they cannot be put to fire without oil. There's no fire without oil. There's no fire and glory [in the Church] without oil [preperation, consecration, setting yourself apart to be closer to God], without what we give to the Lord in partnership for his move, for his fire." She shared how her background was in psychology, so she sees the need for the congregation to focus on getting healed mentally and emotionally as well as part of Caleb's greater vision for spiritual preparation. Out of that spiritual preperation (oil) we can ask God to bring the fire and the glory. You can see this progression in the song: First Love by Kari Jobe You can only pray for fire after you have made Jesus your First Love and set yourself apart for Him. "You are my First Love. You're still my only one ..." "Reignite the fire Reignite the fire of our hearts oh God Reignite the fire of Your church of Your bride Reignite our fire Let it burn for You."

One of my struggles is understanding, am I praying for something that I already have? Like: Is this really an inventory problem to ask to have it? or am I just not aware of what I already have? I touched on how we already have a connection to God. So, we don't have to ask the Holy Spirit to give us heaven's wifi password. Sometimes, I'm praying for more of God. I can tell when His presence feels a light sprinkle, and when the glory of God's presence is so heavy, you fall down and struggle to stand. However, God seems to be gently correcting my view today to focus on shifting my awareness to what I already have. This morning, a podcaster on prayer shared what she called a message from the Holy Spirit, saying, “I am constantly sending you fresh Fire. Fresh Oil. Fresh Provision. But you worry. Don’t you know that I’m with you? You have Me." Wow. That's powerful. I don't have to ask for more oil and fire, the Holy Spirit is sending it. " ... But I‘M the Giver. I Am the Peacemaker. I Am the Strength in you. The Voice in you. The only onus on you… is to let Me. Let Me cover you. Let Me hold the problem. Let Me hold the people, the whole world… turn from it. Turn to Me. Let Me be Me. You continue praying inwardly, 'God, I love you. Use me… make me like You…’ and know that I Am." I find myself often having the most powerful prayers in surrender. Simply surrendering to God, asking Him to take care of it, and being amazed when I let God be God, doing things only God could have done. Today, I also started reading from the book Holy Spirit: God Within You by David Diga Hernandez He said, "When you were born again and the Holy Spirit came to dwell within you, he came with the fullness of his presence and his power. Nothing lacking. ... The Holy Spirit holds nothing back from you ... The Holy Spirit is not given in portions. How can the eternal be divided? There is no baby Holy Spirit or New covert Holy Spirit. You are a carrier of His presence. All love, power, and authority peace, and joy, not a drop missing, have been poured into you."
