🔍 COMMUNITY AUDIT #1 — James McDonald
Alright Geeks… first audit up. This one is from James McDonald and his community: Promotion Hub Straight away I want to say this… This is actually a really likeable concept. There’s a strong idea behind it. ✅ What’s working really well ✅ 1️⃣ The mission is different This line is the strongest part of the concept: Promote your project and help animals at the same time 🐾 That’s a great angle. People love communities with a purpose, and helping animals gives this one real heart. You’re not just promoting your business… You’re helping shelter animals too. That’s a very good hook. 2️⃣ The concept is easy to understand You’ve made it clear people can promote: • businesses • services • programs • courses • websites • tools • projects There’s no confusion about what the community is for. That clarity is important. 3️⃣ The price is low friction $2/month is very accessible. It removes a lot of resistance and makes it easy for people to join and test the community. ❌ What could be stronger ❌ Now this is where we improve it. 1️⃣ The opening hook needs more punch Right now it starts with: Welcome to Promotion Hub That’s polite… but it’s not exciting. You’ve got a much stronger message available. Something more like: Promote Your Business. Help Shelter Animals. Grow With Purpose. 🐾 That tells people immediately why this community is different. 2️⃣ The message could flow better At the moment the description splits the idea into two parts: • promoting projects • helping animals But they feel a little disconnected. These two things should feel like one powerful mission. The real story here is: “Grow what you’re building while helping animals at the same time.” That’s the emotional hook. 3️⃣ The benefits to the member could be clearer Right now it explains what the community is… …but not fully why someone should join this one instead of another promo group. People should quickly see things like: • get more visibility for your project • connect with other builders
