Welcome
Thank you for joining the Old Rollers Collective. It’s purpose is for us to provide information and tips that prolong our longevity on the mats and add to our enjoyment of our preferred grappling style. Please introduce yourself and tell us what style of grappling art you train, where you train, when you started, your age and anything else interesting or relevant. I will start. My name is James Jelley. I’m 61 and I train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Gi and No-Gi) plus the rare wrestling class when I’m feeling up to it (or brave enough). I train at Firm Foundations BJJ in Geelong (Australia) Bones MMA in Torquay (Australia) and our MisFits BJJ social group. I began BJJ in 2000 with recently promoted Coral Belt & Aussie BJJ pioneer John B. Will. I’m looking forward to meeting you all, virtually at least. Please feel free to invite any other 40+ year old grapplers that may like to join our community.
