Mary, Mary quite contrary how does your garden grow?
So how are our gardens doing? I am going to post some survival garden videos and start going over what my top survival crops are. I thought I should then ask what are your top 3 crops to grow to get you through winter? Mine are Squash, potatoes, and tomatoes as they make up a majority of what I preserve.

squash, tomatoes and I'm trying jerusalem artichokes; was going to plant a few potatoes although my daughter thought my seed potatoes were bad potatoes and she threw them away... learning opportunity...

Hi everyone, we have a tone of new comers here and I've been absent. I want you all to know that I will be returning this week, I've been really busy with some big markest I did and working off the farm. I'm taking this entire next week off so I can focus on the farm and my social media. Please if you haven't introduce yourselves and your new please do, feel free to share where your at in the journey and please ask any questions or voice any concerns you'd have in the questions section as I will be looking there daily. I have actually turned on notifications for this app, I try not to do that, so I don't forget about it.

Lock Down Day
Time to lock down the incubator and increase the humidity. I'll make up a break down for any one wanting to incubate some eggs and wanting a quick guide to follow.

What temp do you run the incubator? Are you able to leave the egg holder in without turning? I run my temp at the minimum around 96 - 97F; the theory is you will get more hens.. hotter the hatch temp the more roosters... not sure is myth or fact but last hatch only one rooster and I place back in rack not turning but with the blunt fat end up so the air pocket is high in the egg; gravity working with them. If all but a couple hatch, do you help the others with a sheet rock screw as a little drill? I have been known to assist a couple births :-)
