When we first launched the Hood-Gi back in 2017, we wanted to do something special for the people who took a chance on us and bought a Hooded Gi from two random martial arts dorks on the internet. And because we had absolutely no idea what we were doing at the time, we sold our very first batch at a pretty steep loss… But that didn’t stop us. Sure, the free bag might have been a little over the top, but the people who bought it loved it and that mattered more to us than the margin. From day one, we’ve believed in overdelivering. We want you to feel like you got more than what you paid for. A quiet “thank you” in the form of a bonus, a detail, or something unexpected inside the package. Hidden inside the handle are 8 high-grade rare-earth magnets, perfectly tuned to secure the cap in place. Slide it on, and you’ll hear it—that clean, satisfying click that feels like pure ASMR. After working on this concept for over 2 years, we are finally in production. Each one takes a long time for us to make, so we are still a few months away from launching.
