Wanted to share my favorite drill!!!
🏀🏀My favorite drill. 3 v 3 or 4 v 4 Dominos/Blender cone advantage. (Continuous)🏀🏀 🎥Video Example Below w/ my 4th/5th grade girls team.. Can be used any level. 🏀Rules and Setup -Stagger cones at 45’s and corners (or wherever you want) -Start game however you want. Shot from coach, free throw, loose ball, 3 etc. -Whoever gets it takes it between whatever set of staggered cones they want. -The defender has to go around the last cone in a stagger. Creating a big advantage. -Off ball offensive players have to space properly. -Off ball defenders have to figure out how they want to defend. -Ball handler has decisions to make and you are in dominos right away. -After a make or a stop the next player who gets it is the offense and chooses a cone. 🏀Working on. -Dominos/Blender concepts -Defensive concepts like peel switch, recovering, etc. -Decision making both offense and defense. 🏀Constraints to Add that worked for me. -Have to space certain ways depending on cone. -Have to peel switch. -Dribble limits. -Have to play off two. -Defense gets to neutral turnover offense. -Whatever you want.

This looks great - also love the encouragement from coach!
Dribble and Space Roadblock
Hey all, Today I tried to install Tap into our drive and space offense. I noticed that the players lost their flow because they felt the need to set it up. Not sure how to navigate… which trigger would be the best for teaching?
🤔 What is something NEW you have tried so far?
One of my favorite parts of coaching was applying my learnings from the offseason into my program. I'd love to hear how you have done this. What is something NEW you have tried so far this season and really liked?

After going over gap principles, I installed fingers cut and just told the kids to keep corners and action spots filled. No other directions... and said play. They basically started running the entire offense on their own just by keeping space.
What are your 3 Objectives for Monday's Practice?
Drop them in here, we will be answering questions on this weeks cohort call on how to shape the environment to get traction on what matters most to you.

Systems for appreciation?
Hi all, what ideas do ya’ll have for ways to show players you value their role and appreciate them, specifically speaking some sort of system so that it can be regular. I will have the best of intentions to speak to whomever but when left unintentional, I get distracted and don’t achieve as many convos or ways to show players I appreciate what they’re doing/them etc. Right now as far as systems—we do spotlights at the end of practice/games so I have the chance to spotlight 1-2 people then and I give out “U Make Us Better” little cards that have spots to fill out player name and what they did on them (like business size card in our program branding). I try to do 1 a day so every 2 or 3 weeks a player will receive one. However, I am specifically looking for more daily routines/systems/procedures to make it intentional and more frequent to build relationships better this season. If left to me remembering…haha…not gonna happen. That’s why I have to make things into systems/procedures if I want it to become routine! Thanks in advance!
