Hey Lucilla! Usually this is a cpu issue so there are a few solutions to this problem! If your MIDI keyboard feels laggy in FL Studio, it’s usually one of these: • Go to Options → Audio Settings and switch your audio device to FL Studio ASIO (or ASIO4ALL if needed). Avoid using the default Windows audio driver. • Lower your buffer size to 128–256 samples. If you hear crackling, raise it slightly. • Close CPU-heavy programs like Chrome or Discord while recording. • Enable Tools → Macros → Switch Smart Disable for All Plugins. • Bypass high-latency plugins (like limiters or linear-phase EQs) while recording. • Test with FL Keys in a blank project. If it’s responsive, the issue is likely a plugin in your project. • Make sure your MIDI keyboard is enabled under Options → MIDI Settings and try a different USB port if needed. In most cases, switching to FL Studio ASIO and lowering the buffer size fixes the problem.
