Who else feels a little out of synch right now?
Ok, so yep, I'm trying to build a community, and then I go crickets 🦗🦗🦗 This is not a day for practice threads, but I'm going to post today... because I can. This 'thread' or reflection, is carried on from the last post, where I started a conversation about the messages that are coming through at this time. In dreams, in meditations, in contemplations, and... also, as unexpected epiphanies! It's always been the way, but the flow of information is increasing. And in the midst of this, there is a great deal happening in the world! And many of us are struggling with how 'best' to meet it. In spiritual spaces, we often hear advice to keep our energy high, stay out of fear, and turn away from what is dark. And yet if we turn away from everything difficult, how does truth get seen? How does change come about? How do we remain human to one another? So I asked about this in meditation recently, and I was shown the image of a bright lamp raised high, surrounded by many smaller lights with different coloured shades. Some were more transparent, and let more light through. Some received it differently... or due to the denseness of the shade, they blocked it, or were unconscious to it. The understanding that came with it was simple: We have not all come for the same purpose, or ready to receive in the same way... just yet. Some are here to hold light through prayer and presence. Some are here to advocate. Some are here to tell the truth. Some are here to protect, to witness, to challenge, to comfort, to create. Perhaps the understanding is not that we all respond in the same way, but that each of us responds in a way that is true to our nature, our season, and our calling. Our individual, authentic and soul-led truth. So today’s reflection is this: When I look at the world as it is, what kind of light am I embodying at this time? What is my colour and how transparent is my shade, so that I may receive Light... and offer it? You might reflect on: - where you feel drawn to stay informed, and why - where you need better boundaries - where you are being asked to pray, speak, act, comfort, create, or simply remain steady - what helps you stay open-hearted without becoming overwhelmed
