Cold Temperature Solutions
Hey all, I have a restoration scheduled for tomorrow and its supposed to be 25-30 degrees at the time im doing it. What is the recommendation for best results? I have stay clear and vapor. Not sure I have enough headlight magic vapor to cover both headlights, but I have plenty of blue Amazon vapor. Should I change my warranty or reschedule?

Customer had a garage I was able to work in. Only had 1 headlight to do, but made it look better than the replacement. I used stay clear and everything went smoothly. All of my customers this weekend had garages for me to work in, and I had no idea. Does anybody include a question about garages in on intake form or anything? Or do you just prepare for the worst and if they have one great?

Help with Porsche 911
I just got these lenses back from the PPF shop. When I shine a light through them you can see a bunch of microcracks (i think)? I did liquid magic, sanded 600,800,1k,2k, then vapor restoration. Let them sit for 24 hours, before struggling and eventually giving up on PPF. Now they are done with the PPF (professionally installed). I cannot feel the cracks on the inside and they are definitely not on the outside. Maybe internal? They look fine without light shining through, but I'm worried they might look like crap once the headlight is back together and has light going through it. Has anyone seen this before? What is it and is there a solution? Am I cooked? Before and after photos attached.

For those that are interested but haven't heard.. I talked to the Porsche guy, explained the internal cracks, and he knew exactly what I was talking about. It's the nature of the plastic when it gets that old and he prepares his customers accordingly. That was my first set of restoring those lenses for him and it took me an entire month of struggling, but it all paid off. The Porsche guy wants to continue to work with me and pay me $80 over what I was originally asking per set. Thank you to everyone's input on these. I couldn't have pulled this off without the support of this group. I appreciate you all!

Its a specific model 911 he specializes in (1998-2005) and allegedly you cannot buy the lenses separately. They made the wiring on those headlights "biodegradable" so after 20 years the wiring just falls apart. So what this guy does is upfit the lights with new wiring maybe upgrade to LED if the customers want, basically rebuilds the light. He emailed me out of the blue looking for someone to take over the lens restoration portion of the job. Really cool opportunity. Adrian Tail Lights is the guy's name if you want to look him up. https://www.adriantaillights.com/
