#BackInYourBody.
My current routine can still feel rushed, especially in the mornings when I oversleep and end up racing out the door. However, over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been learning to slow down and be more intentional. While not every day looks the same, I’ve noticed that when I take even just 10 minutes in the morning to spend time with the Lord, I feel much more grounded and prepared for the day ahead. I also recently started going back to the gym during my lunch break, which has been a really positive change. There are fewer people at that time, allowing me to stay focused and complete my routine within the hour I have. Yesterday, I listened to a podcast and stayed off my phone, only checking it for my workout plan, which helped me stay present and intentional. My nighttime routine has improved significantly as well. I’ve been prioritizing self-care by taking time to shower, do my skincare, and truly relax at the end of the day. This has made a big difference in how I feel overall. One habit I would like to build is waking up earlier in the morning. Currently, I only give myself about 20 minutes to get ready and leave, which often leads to feeling rushed. While I’ve gotten very efficient, I don’t want to continue starting my days this way simply because I hit snooze. Ultimately, feeling like myself again would help me feel more confident both in my body and in who I am. I’ve noticed that when I had a consistent routine, like when I was a cheerleader, I felt my best and most confident. That’s something I’m working toward again.

My anchor goal is to be happy and to become the best version of myself. I want to build a life where I can truly see myself succeed in ways that feel meaningful to me, not just what success looks like to others. I also want to be able to show up for others in a genuine way, offering support and understanding because I’ve walked through challenges myself. That perspective is something I value, and I hope to use it to make a positive impact on those around me.

I can't screenshot my calendar because it has some personal information in it! However, I will be taking these next four days this week from 12pm to 1pm and go to the gym. Whether it is walking or doing the workout plan I just want to get my foot in the door!
Welcome to Train Like An Athlete
I want to start this space the right way — with honesty. There was a season of my life where I completely lost myself. I’d been an athlete my whole life. Volleyball was my identity. And when that ended, I didn’t know who I was without it. I stopped training with purpose. I stopped fueling my body well. I stopped showing up for myself the way I used to show up for my team. And then something happened that stopped me in my tracks and made me realize I had been taking my body, my health, and my strength completely for granted. That moment is why this community exists. I’m Morgan. I’m a certified personal trainer, an Exercise Science grad, a Hyrox athlete, and a woman of God. But more than any credential, I’m someone who knows what it feels like to be a former athlete who lost her way and fought like hell to find it again. This community is for you if you’ve ever felt that. If you were that girl — the one who trained hard, competed hard, and lived in her body with confidence — and somewhere along the way she faded into the background. She’s not gone. She just needs a place to come back to. That’s what this is. We’re going to train hard, eat with intention, hold each other accountable, and root everything we do in faith and purpose. No fluff. No filters. Just real work and real women doing it together. So introduce yourself below 👇 Tell me: what sport did you play, and what brought you here? I’ll go first in the comments.

Yes! After college I completely lost myself! This past couple months I have been slowly finding her again through God and now hopefully working out as well!

@Morgan Bryand Honestly, I found myself again by slowing down and being intentional! Spending more time with Jesus, no longer rushing through moments, and truly reconnecting with my femininity. I take long walks, I read more, I connect with my family and friends more!
