👉 Daily Check-In. This is part of the journey.
This is where your daily check-ins happen. Every day you open the guide, come in here too. This is part of the journey, not optional. This is what people who follow through actually do. Each morning I'll post that day's check-in. Reply to it with this format. Keep it simple: 📍 Day: [what day you're on] 📍 How I'm feeling: [honest, not perfect] 📍 Today's rhythm: [prayer, scripture, workout, what I'm removing: done or not yet] 📍 What God showed me today: [one line, even if it's small] Something bigger happen? Here's where it goes: 🙌 A God moment you can't call coincidence → God Taps 🙏 Need prayer → Prayer Requests 🏆 Something to celebrate → Wins The people who check in every day are the ones who finish. And the ones who finish are the ones who change. Show up here the same way you show up in the guide.

Taken a few days to just be present and still. Finished my daily study and completed each of the items. I am thankful for our church which continues to amaze me with God’s message each week, and in addition to that, we were able to attend a class Sunday evening that was centered around parenting in a Christian way, and raising emotionally healthy children. Full transparency, I have felt such an uneasiness with all of this news circulating about the “Cornell 7”. I have constantly been thinking about how we can raise not just a healthy, happy and kind little boy but a future man who will be a respectful, resilient Christian that will always stand up for what is right and do the right thing. In the last several days, I have really felt God’s steady hand guiding us in how we are teaching Jace, praying with him daily, spending time in church with him, talking about what it means to be a good friend and to do what is right no matter who it involves. And even in the moments where I have felt this tremendous pressure to get it right with Jace and prayed about it, I equally have felt such a calming presence and I know that is not just a coincidence. I hope you all are having a great week and looking forward to finishing these 30 days strong.

Had such a great message today at church, even though we are in the mtns for the weekend for fall break. The sermon today was centered around 1 Timothy, a part of the Bible that causes much controversy for many people based on how they interpret it. The main takeaway for me was that when we refuse to submit we have a tendency to try to change and dominate. We are called to live in Godly ways. Some days I really reflect and wonder if I’m doing it right, continuing to grow spiritually and if I am setting the proper example for Jace. Tonight he told me he loves when we pray together on the way to school and at bedtime. Here are the notes I took on my phone (I forgot my church journal at home 😩): 1 Timothy 2:8 -Paul gives instructions for proper behavior for men and women in public church meetings -Addressing the men to say lift your hands in prayer - symbolizes your heart of surrender and worship -Sometimes you can put on the show but if I’m not doing the right things then that’s all it is You can’t worship if you are angry with others and that is your focus, not on Jesus -Unresolved conflict destroys worship -True worship flows from surrendered hearts shaped by obedience and repentance -Paul is contrasting what is going on on the outside vs the inside - women can have extravagant outside appearance that detracts from Jesus -are these still relevant or just for 1st century Ephesus -what is cultural vs universal -praying is universal - praying together, worshipping together, focus on Jesus -modesty in dress -the point is God is calling all of us to holiness -be more concerned of what God thinks of you than what someone else thinks of you -it’s about our hearts! -Paul’s concern as he writes in 1 Timothy is HOW women are to learn; refers to a quiet demeanor, spirit that is peaceable not argumentative -authority vs submission -to submit is to acknowledge our place under authority with God -Paul is writing to explain how the church needs order. Without it, there will be chaos, fighting and focus on yourself not on God
Day 22-23
Geez, already?! Almost done! And don’t get me wrong, I don’t want it to be over! I haven’t checked in for a few days. I took some time off with my family and went camping. I needed that time away, surrounded by nature, to reset, clear my mind, and reflect on a lot of things. One thing that kept coming to mind was this question: When is God really going to show up in my life? When is He going to show up in my relationship? At work? In the areas of my life where I’ve been waiting for answers? But the more I sat there and thought about it, the more I realized something. God has been showing up this entire time. I just haven’t been paying attention. I’ve been so focused on myself, my struggles, my wants, and what I feel is missing that I’ve overlooked the blessings He’s already placed right in front of me. For example, He placed a woman in my life. A woman who has made mistakes, just like I have. We’ve both made mistakes in our relationship. Neither of us is perfect, but maybe I’ve been so busy asking God to fix things that I haven’t stopped to appreciate the person He’s already given me. And then there’s work. God has blessed me with residents I get to spend time with every single day. There’s one resident in particular who prays for me every day. She genuinely cares about me, loves talking to me, and always asks how my day is going. I’ve opened up to her about things in my life that only a handful of people know. And here I am, asking God when He’s going to show up, when He’s been showing up through the people He’s placed in my life all along. Maybe God hasn’t been silent. Maybe I’ve just been too distracted by everything I thought I needed to notice everything He’s already given me. This camping trip reminded me that sometimes we need to disconnect from the noise of everyday life to recognize what’s been right in front of us. I’ve spent so much time waiting for God to show up that I almost missed the fact that He never left. ❤️🙏

Day 13
Why does it feel like God is more present in certain environments than others?

I’ve often wondered this!!
Dreams & Visions
Day 8 done. For many years, I went to sleep asking God to show up in my dreams as I slept. I asked him to guide me, reveal things to me and even give me next steps. I also taught this to the people I was blessed to lead. And then, I not only stopped teaching it, I stopped doing it. On occasion I would think of it as I'd lie down, and on occasion I'd do it, but with no consistency. This challenge has brought me back to it. I go to sleep asking God to meet me in my dreams. God's word says the young will see visions, the old will dreams dreams and the generations after will prophecy. Samuel even HEARD God calling him in the night. I'm back to doing it. And, God is talking to me as I sleep. I wake up, give myself a little time to sit with it and then write it down. There is absolutely nothing better than asking God to give you future plans and visions as you dream. He is sooooo real!!! Hallelujah!!!

I’m going to try this. This is such a great idea also to write it down. I’ve never done that.
Day 6 DONE
Something to chew on… do you think the devil is easier to hear than God in the world we live in?

@Elisa DiMeo this is so true!! I feel this in my soul!! The world we live in today definitely makes it easy to constantly hear and see so much noise, distraction and sadly the work of Satan in so many ways, so it takes the consistent desire to quiet the noise and focus on Him. 🫶🏽
