WHAT'S COMING
Here's what to expect in this community: Weekly Hard Truths — posted by me. No-BS leadership breakdowns you won't hear anywhere else. Leadership Lessons — frameworks and stories from 30+ years of military command, law enforcement, and executive coaching. The Leadership Execution Framework — a 7-module course for members who are ready to go deeper. It's not motivation. It's a system for rebuilding how you lead from the inside out. Community discussions, wins, and accountability. Rules are posted. The welcome post is pinned. Start by introducing yourself in General Discussion. This is your community. But I set the standard. Show up. Do the work. That's all I ask. — Jack

Wins
FIRST WIN: This community exists.
A year ago, Source Point Coaching was an idea and a stack of notes from 30 years of leading under pressure. Today it's a real program. A real community. Real frameworks built from real experience — not theory copied from a textbook. The Leadership Execution Framework is live inside this group. 7 modules. 24 exercises. Built to change how you think, decide, and lead. This is win #1. Your wins are next. When you have one — big or small — post it here. We celebrate the work, not the talk.

YOUR IDENTITY IS NOT YOUR PERFORMANCE.
This is the single most important thing I teach in my coaching. Most high performers — especially veterans and first responders — have fused who they are with what they do. When they perform well, they feel worthy. When they don't, something deeper than disappointment kicks in. That fusion is the source of burnout, imposter syndrome, and the quiet desperation I see in leaders who look successful on the outside but feel empty on the inside. Here's the test: Can you describe yourself without referencing your job title, your rank, your accomplishments, or your income? If that question makes you uncomfortable — that's where the real work starts. Try it in the comments. Describe who you are without referencing what you've done.

Here's what I learned flying MEDEVAC in the Army
Hesitation doesn't look like hesitation. It looks like analysis. It looks like process. It looks like "let me think about it." But the people waiting on you — your team, your family, your clients — they don't see analysis. They see a leader who won't commit. In the cockpit, I had seconds to decide. In business, you have more time — but less urgency. And that extra time is where most leaders lose their edge. They overthink until the window closes. Discipline isn't hard. What's hard is being honest about your excuses. What are you overthinking right now that just needs a decision?

THE 3 LEVELS OF LEADERSHIP
Level 1: Reactive You wait for problems and then respond. You're always behind. Your team sees it even if you don't. Level 2: Controlled You anticipate problems and prepare. You've got systems. But you're still managing — not leading. Level 3: Decisive You set the standard. You make the call before anyone asks you to. Your team doesn't wait for direction because the direction is already clear. Most leaders never leave Level 1. Not because they can't — because they've never been shown what Level 3 looks like. Which level are you operating at today? Be honest.
