People Don’t Buy Products - They Buy Transformations, Identity & Emotions
If you take one thing away from this, let it be this: 💡 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐛𝐮𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. Most businesses fail to sell effectively because they focus too much on their 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔 rather than the 𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 those products create. Your audience doesn’t care about specs, details, or features—at least, not at first. What they truly care about is: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗹? 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗜 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗳 𝗜 𝗯𝘂𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲? Understanding this concept 𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒔 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒈 in your marketing, branding, and sales strategy. Let’s break it down in-depth: 1. 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝘽𝙪𝙮 𝙋𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙚 𝙏𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙩𝙨—𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝘽𝙪𝙮 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙤𝙢, 𝙀𝙨𝙘𝙖𝙥𝙚 & 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. No one buys a flight just for the sake of purchasing a ticket. The airline ticket itself is just a means to an end. What they’re really buying is: ✔️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞—new cultures, foods, and landscapes. ✔️ 𝐀𝐧 𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞—new cultures, foods, and landscapes. ✔️ 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦—exploring the world, being in control of their experiences. ✔️ 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬—the joy of seeing family and friends after a long time. This is why successful travel brands don’t just advertise 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙥 𝙛𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙙𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙨. They sell 𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙨, 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙨. ✈️ Instead of saying: “𝘍𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘪 𝘧𝘰𝘳 $299!” 💡 Say: “𝘠𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘳𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘴𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬—𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨.” ✈️ Instead of saying: “𝘞𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳 500+ 𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.” 💡 Say: “𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘭𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦. 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶.” Why? Because 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣. 2. 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝘿𝙤𝙣’𝙩 𝘽𝙪𝙮 𝙇𝙪𝙭𝙪𝙧𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨—𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝘽𝙪𝙮 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨, 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙜𝙚 & 𝙄𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮. A $30 watch tells time just as well as a $10,000 Rolex. So why do people spend 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 on a luxury timepiece? Because they’re not buying a 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 - they’re buying an 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘆. ✔️ 𝘼 𝙨𝙮𝙢𝙗𝙤𝙡 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨—a statement of achievement and exclusivity. ✔️ 𝘼 𝙧𝙚𝙛𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙨—something that sets them apart from the average person. ✔️ 𝘼 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙛 𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧—confidence in how they’re perceived by others.

@Elena Stojkovska Couldn't agree more Elena. Started doing these mini digital breaks throughout the day - even just 30 minutes without the phone - and it's crazy how quickly the mind starts firing up with actual original thoughts. Makes you wonder how many insights we're missing by filling every quiet moment with scrolling.

@Elena Stojkovska Those real downloads hit different. Been getting some of my clearest business insights during my morning runs without headphones. The brain just needs that empty space to connect dots we didn't even know were related.
🚀Here Are 7 Persuasive Psychological Marketing Principles
The seminal book, "Influence" by Dr. Robert Cialdini will show you how to be super persuasive and hear that magical word, 'YES,' more often in your business deals and everyday life! If you've been in the online game long, you've seen many of these Persuasion Principles. This book is the secret sauce behind many successful off/online marketing campaigns, teaching you how to ethically tip the scale in your favor and close more sales. So, let's get ready to level up your persuasion skills while having fun – just remember to use your new superpowers for good, yuh hear? 😉 TL;DR: The 7 Principles of Influence (see screenshot #2 & #3) 1️⃣ Reciprocity : Give first → Ask later - A skincare brand offers a free eBook on "5 Steps to Glowing Skin" to email subscribers → causing an increase in sales. - You help a neighbor move → they invite you to dinner later. 2️⃣ Commitment : Start small → Build big. - An app asks users to commit to “3 workouts this week” → leads to premium subscriptions. - You start journaling daily → soon you’re writing pages every night. 3️⃣ Social Proof : Follow the crowd. - A SaaS company showcases testimonials like “10,000+ businesses use us!” → increases sign-ups. - You see friends raving about a new Netflix movie → you decide to watch it too. 4️⃣ Liking : People buy from those they like. - Influencers with relatable vibes sell products effortlessly → think TikTok. - Your friend recommends a book → you buy it just because they’re so excited. 5️⃣ Authority : Trust the experts. - A financial advisor posts LinkedIn videos wearing a suit → builds credibility. - You trust your doctor’s advice over random Google AI results. 6️⃣ Scarcity : Rare = desirable. - An e-commerce site uses “Flash Sale: Ends in 2 Hours!” → drives urgency. - You grab the last slice of pizza at a party → FOMO wins. 7️⃣ Unity : Shared values = stronger bonds. - A brand aligns with #ClimateAction → eco-conscious buyers flock to them. - You bond with someone over a shared love of hiking → instant friendship.

@Zahida A Khan "Curious questioning to establish truth" - love that framing. There's a fine line between teaching healthy skepticism and creating cynicism. The goal isn't to make them suspicious of everything, but to help them develop that inner compass for spotting what's genuine. Education system might catch up eventually, but can't wait for that to happen.

@Zahida A Khan Trust the gut, follow with questions - perfect strategy! I've found first principles thinking is the best defense against all the noise. Been fascinating watching my kids learn to spot when something's being repeated just to normalize it rather than because it's true.
🌱 How I Stopped “Building a Community” & Started Growing One
I used to think community growth was all about posting more. More content. More updates. More effort. Then I realized… the best communities aren’t built on content. They’re built on connections. 👥 One conversation can bring 10x engagement. 💬 One meaningful reply can create a superfan. 🔥 One post can start a movement -- if it speaks to the right people. Now, I focus less on “creating” a community and more on cultivating one. If you had to start your community from scratch, what’s the FIRST thing you’d do differently? Drop it below! 👇

@Bruno Semedo It's like if you took all the good bits of social media - the connections, the learning, the community - and stripped away all the distractions, dopamine tricks and noise that stops people from having real conversations.

@Bruno Semedo Thanks Bruno! Appreciate you and that kind comment. Hope you have an awesome weekend when it comes brother.
Stop selling time and sell THIS instead
Most coaches, agency owners and other service providers create offers that sell their time. This is what makes every business stay stuck for years and UNABLE TO SCALE. Because we all have 24h in a day. So time is a limited asset. That's why you are stuck. Because you are exchanging something that is limited for money. Therefore, you are limiting your income. Or you must hire other people. But that reduces your margins. Which also makes it eventually unscalable. How you solve this is by ditching all the DFY services. Instead you create DIY or DWY solutions that are easily deliverable. Ideally, they don't require you to spend any time delivering. For example, let's say you sell a course. When you sell time, you no longer have the time you sold. But when you sell a course, you still have that course to sell INFINITLY MORE. Leading to being able to effortlessly scale working 2hrs per day. This was eye-opening for me. Now, this is just one of many ways you can stop selling time. If you want to learn other ways, which are even better, watch this video: https://youtu.be/3R3dkr4y87s?si=RnRiKKZSFUx3cm9c

Spot on about the time limitation mate. Made this switch myself a few years back - bloody hard work initially creating courses that properly deliver, but now they work while I'm at the beach with the kids. Worth every late night getting it sorted.
🎤 What’s been the biggest “aha” moment in your community-building journey?
I’m fascinated by how some communities grow like wildfire while others struggle to gain traction. For those of you who’ve built thriving communities... what made the biggest difference? For those still figuring it out (like me), what’s been the hardest part? Would love to hear from both perspectives. Let’s connect & learn from each other.👇

Biggest lightbulb moment was seeing that consistency trumps perfection every time. People come for the content but stay for the connections. The hardest communities to build are the ones trying to be everything to everyone - the focused ones with clear boundaries and purpose create that sense of belonging that keeps people coming back. Quality of engagement always beats quantity of members.
