I have a problem with Navy Federal Credit Union and need help asap. I got a notice a few weeks ago that my card was expiring and that they would be closing my NFCU/Amex credit card account because of "poor credit performance". I've never had a late payment with them but my balance has been over the limit since March of this year. It got over the limit when NFCU allowed some inadvertent expenses to go through even though I had reached my limit...kind of a like overdraft protection on a checking account. Since the letter, I've submitted two messages online asking them to reverse their decision and they refuse. I've had a terrible year in real estate here in DC and ironically, NFCU is providing assistance to government workers here who were affected by the government shutdowns. The same shutdowns that have killed my business recently. Any advice on what I could do? @Santiago Gil
