How do you get clients in the gym? You walk the floor and start friendly conversations with the ʼrightʼ members (not the group of 16 yrs olds). Over time you build some rapport until the right moment occurs that you ask them if they need some more help. (maybe help with technique or maybe a full free PT session) You help them... then you see if they would like some more help... by becoming a client. Getting clients online is very similar. You start friendly conversations with the ʼrightʼ people, you give advice, you offer your free resources... You build some rapport until the right moment occurs to make them an offer to work with you. However... there are 2 big problems. 1. In the gym you might have access to few thousand members that have a clear fitness goal they are trying to achieve (they are qualified leads). You (probably) donʼt have that same opportunity in your online audience right now? 2. In the gym you can walk up to someone and say something and youʼll get a response back. Online... not so much! People arenʼt that ʼsocialʼ on social media. Most of the time they donʼt want to have a conversation with you. So that means sending a LOT of cold DMʼs to have 1 conversation. So how do you overcome these two roadblocks? Ads & AI... You need volume... more leads coming into your online audience and more conversations being started. 1. In 2025, unless you are part of the 0.1% that have a huge following, you NEED ads to drive new leads into your online audience. 2. Unless you are paying an appointment setter to sit in your DMʼs all day (or you have 8 hours to do this yourself), you NEED AI to start conversations with these leads to get them ready to buy.
