Oh, hey friends! 👋 I know it’s been a little quiet here in the Collective, but the down time has been exactly what was needed to reignite my fire so I could pour into you guys fully and powerfully. And let me tell you, I am BEYOND STOKED for what I have planned for you guys. I want to start off by introducing a practice that I've been using in businesses for years. It's super simple, powerful, and incredibly effective when powering through the inevitable roadblocks that pop up in business. Starting this week, I’ll be hosting regular Hot Seat Clarity calls using the IDS method. IDS = Identify · Discuss · Solve It’s a framework borrowed from EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), popularized in Traction, and it’s one of the cleanest ways I know to help business owners get unstuck. In these sessions, we’ll: ➔ Identify the real issue (not just the surface level symptom) ➔ Discuss it from a few grounded perspectives ➔ Solve it with *ONE* clear next step to help you move forward The floor will be open to both personal and business issues alike. We'll try to get through as many of you as possible in the one hour. I’m a member of a community of entrepreneurs who set and plan regular goals (annual + quarter, broken down into milestones and tasks) called the Goal Getters Collab. During yesterday’s monthly goal planning session, a fellow member was sharing about how her creativity has slowed down because she’s had to focus on the backend side of her business—systems and tech. I could tell she was really frustrated and that the creator in her felt stifled. This is what I shared with her: When you pull back on a slingshot, the further you pull, the more tension you feel, the more you slow down because of it. And if you’re being intentional and calculated with your aim (which, she absolutely is), once you let go of the slingshot, you’re gonna fly toward your goals FAST. We are cyclical beings. It’s literally winter time. A time synonymous for hibernation, slowing down and reflecting. If this is the season you’re in, I encourage you to embrace it, not resist it. Rest with intention, and be calculated about what direction you’re pointing you slingshot. And when summer comes, get ready to fly. What season is your business in right now?
