3 common questions I've been asked in job interviews
Hello Paco! I I want to share with you 3 common questions I've been asked in job interviews. Your feedback would be very helpful so that my answers are concise and professional: 1. HOW DO YOU HANDLE PRESSURE AND STRESS? GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE. (S)While leading a software implementation project, we encountered a major vendor delay just four weeks before the scheduled go-live date. The delay threatened to impact critical dependencies and client operations. (T) My role was to assess the impact, mitigate risks, and implement contingency plans to ensure the project stayed on track without compromising quality. (A) I implemented a fast-track approval process for urgent decisions, negotiated partial deliveries with the vendor to unlock dependent tasks, and reallocated resources to focus on parallel workstreams. (R) The project was delivered on time, with no disruption to client operations. I learned that the proactive risk management approach as a key success, If something gets complicated it should be communicated ASAP and a calm and solution-oriented tone conveys confidence. 2.DESCRIBE A DIFFICULT SITUATION YOU HAVE FACED AND HOW DID YOU HANDLE IT. (S)While I leading a software implementation project, I discovered that the supplier that would be submitting a credible hallenge didn´t have adequate control over the stataus of the requirements. (T) I had to implement a control system to keep accurate records, identify the status of each requirement, and assign requirements with a "non-compliant" status for review. (A) I scheduled a war room with the supplier, and we reviewed requirement by requirement. I defined six different "non-compliant" statuses. Based on the total requirements, I calculated the percentage for each. (R) I identified the most recurring status, implemented a focused monitoring, and direct assigned of attention to each team, that allowed an immediate resolution. 3.WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS FOR GROWTH IN THIS POSITION? My growth expectations are focused on developing myself professionally. I would like to start by consolidating my skills in the position, and over time, assume greater responsibilities. I am looking for a company where growth is mutual: where I can contribute to the development of the organization and also grow as a professional.
