What A Shit Start 💩
Warning a rant is coming up but I am sharing this so I can be quite honest with you. I spent just about all my week end nutting out the next stage of my improvements to getting everyones events into the weekly bulletin to make it a much easier journey for us all. I polished up the template, created the google form and sheet, yes I know that gets automatically created from the form but I still had to do some extra formatting in there to make it work for canva bulk. Thinking I had nailed it, no I hadnt, I had issues with images, I had issues with the time showing correctly and some. But I was determined to get this launched for this week. I did no end of testing, with the form, the sheet and canva bulk create. At last everything was working, yippee I thought. So as you know I launched it. I got my first events registrations coming through and still had a glitch re the images but I sorted that. So I thought now I have a few registration forms in I would do the first bulk create. No.... canva decided not to. I spent ages last night trouble shooting, I have done so many things and it still didnt work. So I thought I would go to bed and perhaps the glitch will be gone in the morning. Well the glitch is still there and now Canva has stuffed up my template, everytime I go to recreate it the glitch is still causing problems with the template. Im now in tears as its Wednesday and I know a lot of events will be coming through . All that time and effort disappearing down the drain. Then to top it all a member asks me what the process was , so I give an explanation of post in the feed and if you want the event in the weekly bulletin , calendar and event classroom then she would need to join premium which is still back at $5. Well she churned stating she didnt believe in this method. Seriously the amount of time it takes me and my daughter plus Mary to get the events into the weekly bulletin, the calendar, the classroom and the flip book warrants far more than $5 per month, just being honest, but as we are still in our early phase $5 is where it is at whilst we are still developing and growing.

Sending hugs to you @Heather Wilson. This is a lot to handle and we cannot control everything, especially online and tech stuff. I hope your members understand this and of course not all people will get it. $5 a month is a ridiculously low fee and really you could charge a lot more. I guess with time and ironing out kinks, the price with match up with all your love and effort going into this. Sending love to you 💖

Several updates and improvements are currently being introduced to make Skool Events Daily easier to use, more organised, and more effective for both event hosts and browsers. A new Google Form system is being rolled out to organise event categories and better match people with the events they actually want to attend. The goal is to reduce scrolling for browsers and allow the right people to be tagged into relevant events as soon as they are posted, creating a smoother experience for everyone involved. The new event template being tested in the Weekly Bulletin has received very positive feedback and is seen as the first step towards a much larger system upgrade. The long-term goal is to create a process that is easier, less time consuming, and more streamlined for both organisers and the backend management side of the community. A large amount of work currently happens behind the scenes to move events across calendars, classrooms, and visibility points. For recurring events, organisers are still being asked to post weekly updates rather than relying on old posts or calendar entries alone. Regular posting keeps events visible, avoids confusion when schedules change, and helps ensure events are still active before they are added into the Weekly Bulletin. Event hosts are also encouraged to stop repeating the same posts every week and instead refresh the wording, focus on outcomes, and create short videos so people can connect more personally with the host before attending. Coming soon to the Weekly Bulletin will be event categories and a clickable table of contents, allowing readers to jump directly to the types of events they are most interested in. The aim is to remove friction and make discovering events faster and easier for browsers. New sponsor spots are also opening up through an energy exchange model rather than paid sponsorship. Sponsors receive visibility inside the Weekly Bulletin and sponsors classroom, including direct links to their communities, in exchange for sharing the Weekly Bulletin once a week inside their own communities. Sponsors must have over 100 members and show consistent activity and growth on Skool. Sponsor spotlights will also soon be introduced to further showcase and support sponsor communities.
