A confident, open personality tells a manager you can engage with customers, stay calm under pressure, and blend smoothly into the chaos of hospitality. Bars can teach you their systems. They can teach you how to pour, shake, carry, count, clean, stock, and smile. But they can’t teach you to show up hungry, willing, and excited to learn. And yes, sometimes you really do need to fake it till you make it. If you walk in saying you’re a fast learner, you’ve got speed, and you’re keen, you’ll often get the chance.
