Today, on Labor Day, I crossed the Mackinac Bridge—over 5 miles of walking—wearing an outfit that can only be described as “ADHDiva meets craft store explosion.” 😂 My friend and I proudly wore our handmade ADHDiva hats, and I could hear people noticing, commenting, and occasionally trying to figure out exactly what the heck was going on—which was perfectly fine, because I was READY for the conversation! Underneath all the glitter, color, flowers, and creative chaos, I felt incredibly proud to be visibly, unapologetically, and creatively ADHD. I wasn't trying to blend in today; I wanted to show what it can look like when an ADHD adult stops hiding, starts creating, and decides that being a little different can actually be pretty awesome. And as I walked across that enormous bridge, I couldn't help thinking about the House of Brilliant Minds—a place I'm building for people who have spent enough of their lives feeling like they don't quite fit the mold. Today felt like my own little bridge-crossing ceremony: I'm not just talking about building this community anymore. I'm walking into it. 🏠✨🧠 And yes… I'm exhausted. ADHDiva has officially crossed the bridge. She now requires snacks. 😂💚
