Mother’s Day check-in for the moms in this community 💙🙆‍♀️
Mother’s Day is tomorrow, and I just wanted to pause for a moment and check in with the mothers here who are also dealing with tinnitus, hyperacusis, sound sensitivity, sleep struggles, or just the emotional weight that can come with all of this. A lot of mothers are used to being the ones who keep going no matter what. They show up, take care of others, carry a lot quietly, and often keep pushing even when they are exhausted or overwhelmed. So if you’re a mother in this community and you’ve been carrying all of that while also dealing with difficult symptoms in the background, I just want to say this clearly: 𝗜 𝘀𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂. 🙏 I know these challenges can be invisible to other people. On the outside, you may still look like you’re handling everything. But inside, it can be tiring, frustrating, and sometimes very lonely. So I want to ask: How are you doing right now, really? Is there anything that feels especially hard this weekend? And is there any way I can support you, this week or going forward? If so, please let me know in the comments below (or message me directly). Let’s talk about it. Let’s have a real conversation about what’s been hard, what you need, or what might help. And to the rest of the community, I’d love to ask you too: How are you planning to support your mother, your wife, or another important mother in your life this weekend? Sometimes support is not just flowers or going out somewhere. Sometimes it’s patience. Sometimes it’s helping create a calmer day. Sometimes it’s simply being more understanding. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Feel free to share below. I think this could be a really meaningful conversation. 🙏 Have a great weekend & mother day! 💙 Guy.

@Patricia Reid I am so sorry for your loss 😔 🤗🫂
So...this group
@Guy Cohen I randomly was cruising Discoveries and came across Tinnitus Reset Toolbox and said, what the heck let me join. I've had this this issue for years and years, working in very loud environments machining metal parts since High School. I just figured it was part of life living in a bubble and that's the way it is. Fast forward I start going through the material here and I am sooo not alone you all!! I picked up my new hearing aids Friday May 1st and have been listening to things I have not heard since I was a kid. Birds chirping even the clacking of the keys as I type this! Are you kidding me? Cheers all! Tears of joy! (Posted in the 🏆Wins category)

That's really great. Good for you 💪🏻 My right ear became Sudden Deaf 4 October 25 and I now know how it feels when you don't hear the birds anymore 😔 😭 I have a Starkey hearing aid 🦻🏻 to Test, but even with this one in, I can't hear them sing 🐦with my "bad" ear but I hear them now when I use both of my ears. I hope I'll get an hearing aid that will give me back my "normal" hearing back again. I'm on a waiting list for the Audiological center. Since I've been to the craniosacral and neurofeedback therapy the Tinnitus and ringing sound in my right ear became lower. But since I practice 9D Breathwork I have the idea that the Tinnitus is more to the background and I don't pay attention to it anymore. Just in stressful situations, like now, that my neighbor is threatening me again, the Tinnitus and ringing are louder. What kind of hearing aid do you have? So keep it up the good work 💪🏻 and enjoy everything you can hear now again 🌞🍀🥰

A tinnitus question I hear a lot:
“I’ve watched your videos, read your posts and tried the tools… but I just don’t see how anyone could habituate to my tinnitus. It’s so loud, so intrusive… it takes over everything and makes me anxious.” If this is how you feel, please know you're not alone. It's a place many of us have been and it can feel impossible to imagine things ever changing. 🙋‍♂️ My story As many of you already know, I went through severe tinnitus for many years. There was a point where it almost brought me down to my knees. I was in a really dark place and couldn’t see a way forward. It felt like tinnitus was running my life. But then something changed. I had a breakthrough. Slowly, things started to shift. And here I am today, sharing everything I’ve learned, all the tools, strategies, and approaches that helped me rebuild my life. My mission is to help you do the same. 🙏💙 🌱 There is a path forward Research and clinical experience show that people do move through stages of habituation, regardless of how loud or intrusive tinnitus feels. The American Tinnitus Association outlined four common stages that many people go through on their journey. It’s not a straight line. And not everyone moves at the same pace. But it gives us something very important: A map… and a sense of hope. I attached a simple visual of the 4 stages of habituation below. 👉 What stage do you feel you’re in right now? 👉 And what do you feel is the biggest challenge preventing you from moving to the next stage? Please vote and comment below. If you prefer, send me a direct message with your thoughts. I read every comment and message, and I’m here to help. 🙏 Yours truly, (your tinnitus) Guy.

I’m working on something that could help tinnitus sufferers better understand where they are in their own (relief & habituation) journey and what kinds of tools make the most sense for them. Anyone excited? 🤩
