Announcement: welcome + class plans
Hi everyone ☺️ We have 5 community members now, and I'm so glad you're all here! Welcome, Cassandra, Paulo, Nick, and Ilam. I just wanted to take a moment to explain this Skool community, and the first course included in it: Vinyasa Yoga Basics. Personally, I am new to Skool, and you might be too, so I'll share the little bit that I've learned about this platform so far... "Yoga Basics with India" is our Community (not a course), and on this page we can have discussions and engage with one another. This seems kind of like a yoga-related social media page between us. There is also an option to go live, so I'm hoping that we can figure out a time that works for all of us to have a weekly meeting or class; we can decide together if we just want to have a consistent weekly practice together with a class sequence that I'll plan ahead of time, or if we'd prefer to meet for something more discussion- or education-related. This is all that I know about the "Community" aspect of Skool so far. Additionally, there is a "Classroom" section of each Skool community, including this one. The Classroom section is where you will find courses on specific topics related to yoga basics. At this time, I am working on our first course: Vinyasa Yoga Basics. I hope to have it completed by Monday, March 9. You can view it already... but there are a lot of placeholders for photos that don't exist yet, there are multiple unpublished pages that aren't finished yet, and there are also published pages that aren't finished yet 😅 (I am slowly writing more). So if you visit the course before Monday and you feel like I'm scamming you, I'm not scamming you; I'm doing my best, and I hope you'll go back to the course once it's complete! The next course that I plan to write will be about Yoga Philosophy Basics, but I'll need your feedback on that... I want to create material that serves you, and I know that some of you have studied yoga philosophy more than I have, so we could approach that in a few different ways. For example, it could be more of a discussion-based class or kind of a book club. Alternatively, we could find a topic that you're all really interested in, I could write a course on that now, and then I can wait to make a course on yoga philosophy basics until this Skool Community grows and includes more people who are new to yoga philosophy.

Welcome to Yoga Basics (with India)! Please introduce yourself ☺️
Hello, and welcome to this Skool community: Vinyasa Yoga Basics. My name is India, and I'm the host of this community. I earned my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certificate online from YogaRenew, a studio based in Hoboken, New Jersey, and I continue to study with them daily. They offer weekly Zoom classes for yoga teachers, which focus on topics including how to create and teach a meditation class, how to create and teach a vinyasa class, philosophy, anatomy, etc... I am also working on my 300-hour YTT. All of this to say that I am always learning more, and I'm eager to share that with you and support your learning, too. Please introduce yourself! You may respond to any of the following questions, or share whatever you'd like. I look forward to hearing from you! Possible discussion questions: Have you practiced yoga before? How often do you practice yoga? What styles of yoga have you practiced before? Which aspects of yoga are you most interested in (Physical poses, Yoga philosophy, Breathwork/Pranayama, Meditation)? What do you do for fun? Do you have any specific goals or intentions for your yoga practice?
