Help me pick our 2026 Workshop/Call Schedule
We have members in almost every time zone from California to London to Bangkok. Since I'll be hosting our live workshops on Thursdays... I know most of you are juggling work and life, and "Physics" makes it impossible to find one time that works for everyone. I have narrowed it down to the two best time slots. Please vote for the option that allows you to attend LIVE 👇🏻

If your primary aim is not learning Thai, then there are other options. In Chiang Mai these is a self-defence option for the ed visa. This is taught by off-duty cops. You learn firearms, hand to hand, and a few other things. It can run for a year. I met a few who took the course and they all enjoyed it. There are also, I believe, Muay Thai boxing courses that are eligible.

I will add, some folk doing the combat course do meet and know a few local cops. That can be helpful sometimes!
Thailands Conflict with Cambodia
Came across this really interesting video explaining the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia for anyone who's interested.

I am not going to watch. It is so sad and depressing. It is always the innocent and weakest who are killed, not those who start wars. This conflict has been bubbling for at least two decades.

@Steven Kapp Teaching English online. Unfortunately and unfairly as a SA you will get lower $ to start, but you can start and build your own E business, takes time, but doable. Good luck.

I am going to add to my previous post. I am feeling somewhat burnt out with teaching and coaching. In particular coaching. It is mentally stressful and emotionally draining. I will always return to teaching, but a year or two doing something else would be a fantastic break for me.
