That was how he lived. Dr. King showed us that character isn’t proven by comfort or applause. It’s proven when conscience is louder than fear. He chose what was right when it wasn’t safe. He stood firm when it wasn’t politic. He moved forward when it wasn’t popular. Today, on his birthday, we don’t just remember his words — we celebrate the standard he set.
