A month in...
I'm a month into my new YouTube channel, which is to help people start their own YouTube channels for the purpose of sharing their testimonies and what God is continuing to do in their lives. The latest video went up today. I've been REALLY enjoying learning more about DaVinci Resolve and deepening my editing skills. I'd love some feedback. What are your suggestions for what could I do better in my next one? https://youtu.be/BIOhvlsga14?si=MDGBVoDrYkdGXCIn

DaVinci Resolve Help?
I've been using DaVinci Resolve for a few weeks now and, generally speaking, really enjoy it! Today, I'm trying to render a video and it keeps giving me this error message. Does anyone know what it means or how to fix it? I've tried troubleshooting everything I could possibly think of. I went through my timeline, and I cannot find any Fusion composition at that location.

@Mohammad Limon I think that worked! Thank you!
I got Monetized & wanted to share
Hey folks! 7 months & 22 days in, I got monetized and I have a video about it, but I'm also happy to answer any questions here too. Also, thank you so much to everyone here who has helped me on the journey, so glad I can finally return the favor! https://youtu.be/M6kSjy0c04I?si=AygrMTUBMzGidfNJ

I really enjoyed this video, especially the way you talked about the RPM. It’s good information for folks like me who are moving in that slow and steady growth direction. By the way, my older sister had Down syndrome. She was a total joy, so I can completely imagine the smiles and hugs and bubbly giggles going on in your home with all your kids! 🥰

Timeframe?
After posting a new video on a new channel, how long should it take to get at least some views? I have a new video up on my new channel, and I thought it was a pretty good video. I thought my thumbnail was good. But it's been a few hours now, and there hasn't been any views at all. Any advice? Here is the video: https://youtu.be/vzRzyA2QyP4

@Dajana K. Thank you. It seems like on my other channel, when I post a video, I usually get some sort of view or two within just a few minutes. Then it grow slowly from there. This time, it's been on around six hours and crickets. That is, until you saw it! Lol.

@Shelina Virjee That's what I'm trying to remind myself! 🤣 I'm also having to remind myself that this is a brand new channel, and not the original one that would get a few more views quick quicker. I'm literally starting from scratch again, and right now, because of work responsibilities and staying consistent with the other channel as well, I'm only doing one video per week for now on this new channel. I've toyed with the idea of making some shorts from the long form content and adding them in, but I don't know. Long form just seems to be more of what I enjoy.
Two Different Channels
I know the overall consensus is that, if you want to run multiple channels, you should do one at a time and only launch a second one after the first has gained ground. I rebooted my channel in January 2025, and it’s growing, albeit slowly. Then my husband joined me on the channel and that has been fun. We are enjoying the teamwork. That being said, learning how to do the channel better has been giving me tons of ideas that don’t really fit on that channel, so I recently started a second one for those other ideas. One channel is about our life and faith specifically, and the other is about helping others use YouTube (and ultimately, other social media) to share their own testimonies and faith stories. First of all, am I crazy? 🤣 Second, should I facilitate any overlap between the channels or keep them totally separate? And thirdly, when we are able to monetize both channels as it pertains to the YouTube Partner Program, will that be combined or do we need to have them separate for income purposes? Thank you bunches! Blessings, Holly

@Dajana K. True, it is. This level of video editing is fairly new to me, but I've been making basic videos for years because my job as an educator requires me to create explainer videos, walk-throughs, etc. So I had already been building my skills, and I feel like I have a decently efficient workflow. I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up the pace, but for now, doing both channels seems to be working. I don't think I could've done it if my husband was not on board as well. It used to be only me editing all the videos for the channel we shared, but now that he has started learning, he's been doing more and more of the editing for that channel, and I'm exclusively doing the editing for the new channel.
