The socioeconomic disparity is creating another class in society. This will trickle down into more than just athletics. The other part where this creates an issue is parents who pick their more athletic child and invest heavily into that, while the other/s have to struggle in life to feel like they belong. I believe the way to change this up is less about scholarships, and more about being a volunteer. Yes, trainers should be paid for their expertise. At the same time, charging $175/hr for personal training of children becomes ridiculous.
