Here is what just happened in AI. Artificial intelligence just entered the daily work of the United States Senate. Lawmakers have approved the use of ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot for official tasks like writing documents and analyzing information. At the same time, the legal fight between the Pentagon and the AI company Anthropic is getting bigger. Microsoft has now filed a legal brief supporting Anthropic in court. Meanwhile, Google is expanding its AI work with the Pentagon by deploying custom AI agents to help analyze military data. And Anthropic is launching a new institute focused on studying the impact of advanced AI on society. Congress is also stepping in. A new bipartisan bill will create a national commission to study how artificial intelligence could reshape jobs and the economy. Here is the big picture. Artificial intelligence is no longer just a technology story. It is now part of government operations, national security, and the future of work.
