Help!! How to handle complaints??
Ok y’all. I need to vent please. As WN sellers, how do you deal with a complaint? I do my very very best to show the item clearly and do any call outs that I notice. Everything is live on camera, you can’t really hide anything and I don’t call anything something it isn’t. I have in my notes that items are sold as is and that it is vintage, so even though I do my best some things may get missed. I got a complaint today for verdigris on the back of a brooch (which I did miss) and a loose rhinestone-which probably shifted from shipping because it wasn’t loose when I shipped. Trying not to be upset but it’s annoying when I do my absolute best, and again-it’s vintage not straight from the factory in China. And as WN sellers-especially new ones-we are selling this stuff wayyyy cheap. You would think that one would be less likely to complain with bargain prices. Even more annoying that the buyer (a reseller) wrote a couple huge paragraphs about how they’d be back to buy more and they left me good feedback. Please don’t. I offered a refund and apologized as there’s nothing else to do. As a buyer, I’ve gotten some items that were not as I thought they were from other sellers, and I chalked it up to my own fault for neglecting to notice the details. I wouldn’t complain unless something was grossly misrepresented. Any feedback on how common this is and how to handle it in the future please?
