In High School we went to Cadomin area for Outdoor ED. It was two night camping trip! We did hike to the caves. It was a great experience to explore the caves and see the "kitchen" which was molded clay rock that looked like round table with mini seats. But then you looked up at the ceiling, you see hundreds hanging from the ceiling. the Bat's main gather area. We also did water traversing, and wall climbing. Obviously it was in low water and small rock face. But it lit me up for more adventure. It was a great spot to fish, even horseback as they had stalls on lower part of the campground. Trail goes into 14 km one-way to Jasper National Park boundary OR 40 km total to Miette Hot Springs. A lot of changes as now there is a lot of quad and bikes trails were added. The landscape changed a bit. This campground is a short distant from a tiny mining town Cadomin with population of 54! Two Experience I will never forget, was our hike was 1/2 dirt and 1/2 snow.. now with climate it's all dirt. After caving two of us... Victor and I decided to race down the hill on the snow on our asses in coveralls. Well, deep snow does not show you stumps and etc. I was so glad Victor went first... lol. He had scratched his inner thigh and nuts. I just had the inner thigh scratched up. Granted it was fun, minor injury, the steam huts we built on the rockbed...made uncomfortable but warmed up quickly! Second, was the wall climbing. I will never forget to the only female to make it up to the top. Granted it's wasn't too high (same as indoor walls) and got to assist the teacher to climb! Here is the tip: Don't slide on snow without something under ya!
