💵 SEXY SALES SEPTEMBER IS HERE - AND WE'RE STARTING WITH PREP, NOT PRESSURE
Sexy Sales September officially kicks off Sept 7. But this week - Sept 1st through the 6th - is YOUR prep week. No posting required yet. Just getting your backend in order. Here's your homework before we go live. Drop your answers below in this thread: 1. What's your offer? Write it in ONE clear sentence. 2. Who is it for? Not "everyone." Get specific. 3. Do you have a way to get paid, easily? Find your link, test it, make sure it works TODAY. 4. Do you have somewhere to send people who want to learn more first? A sales page, a link in bio, a one-pager, an automated DM keyword? 5. What's the pattern you see in clients, over and over, before they ever work with you? This is also the week to ask your questions. Confused about anything, not sure how something applies to your offer, want a gut check on your answers above - drop it in this thread. Get it all sorted THIS week so when Sept 7 hits, you're not scrambling, you're just showing up and filming. Before you film your first video, go watch these - I think they're done really well: - Shelby Sapp - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcRJCWNg1tO/?igsi=MTh3eGRhajBvOWV4NA== - Jamie Sea - https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dcb6kG0CeFG/?igsi=MTk3b2I4YjNycWwzcg== - A few of my own posts https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaVwwYZR0Hi/?igsi=MXZwamg1MjB1bG9lbw== - https://www.instagram.com/reel/DZShF0MzYwd/?igsi=eWpxdmI1YnRraTJs Notice the pattern across all of them: the video stays loose, real, no ask. The caption is where the whole sell lives. That's the shape. Yours will look nothing like theirs. One more thing while you're in prep mode - sales is a numbers game. One post a day is not the job. The job is the conversation after.

@Vasavi Kumar 1. Offer: Every fall you erase your entire fitness past to start all over again. The 4EverFit Flex Pass is where we create a sustainable plan that removes the overwhelm from starting over. 2. Who: It’s the day after Labor Day, your annual fitness restart, and this is the year not to feel anxious or overwhelmed. If only you could believe that was possible and this time you will last through the winter holiday. 3. Yes, I have a way to get paid. 4. Yes, I have a link to share, plus a DM reply trigger. 5. Many of my clients come to me collecting workouts they don’t use or complete. They read articles, follow friends’ suggestions, and try the latest whatever. They restart, never truly thinking this time will work. Their mouths are hopeful, but their hearts are resigned to, “this is just the way it is.” It’s been that way since the kids, so they assume a changing, aging body won't be any different. But underneath it all, they just want that one thing to work again. They never take the time to figure out why “it” worked in the past, or how to align that wisdom with what they need right now. It is never about another seasonal reboot.
Skills Assessment
@Vasavi Kumar Vasavi, I have a question that is a little outside of the usual Out Loud content. Does Out Loud School have, or do you know of, a reputable skills or career assessment that helps someone identify transferable skills and the types of roles or industries those skills could translate into? After almost four decades in fitness, I am seriously considering what I could do outside of the industry. I honestly do not need the next thing to be my passion or even something I love. I need to understand what I am already qualified to do, and what may require a reasonable bridge in skills or training. I am not looking for a “what do you want to be when you grow up” assessment. I need something practical that can look at the work I have done, leadership, program building, coaching, communication, operations, business ownership, etc., and help me understand where those skills have value outside of fitness. If you have anything in TOLS or can point me to an assessment or resource you trust, I would really appreciate it. Be Well

@Vasavi Kumar First, I want to thank you for the response and for sending the link. I really appreciate it. In reading your breakdown, I realized that I wasn’t articulate enough in explaining what I did or what I do. And that’s not to correct you. That’s me saying it out loud and correcting myself. I am not just a fitness instructor. I am a coach. I am a group exercise instructor for 40 years; I’m 57 and have been teaching since I was 17. I am a personal trainer. But I’ve also redesigned and developed teams, wellness teams, and fitness departments for several different clubs in the DMV. And I need to keep saying that, because there were times when all those different people and personalities lived under the same hat, and it was easy to quiet one down so the other could stand out. But as I’m assessing my skills, I need to be really crystal clear about not just the positions I’ve held, but what they have required of me. So thank you again for the response. I am going to take some time either tomorrow or Sunday to do the assessment. This is really, really helpful. I still get information from Glassdoor from when I was employed during the early days of COVID and needed to replace staff, so I can take your suggestions and begin to search that way. I’m looking forward to our one o’clock call. I have a busy morning and a workout and shower before the call, so I may be off-screen for about the first five minutes of the call, but I am going to be there ready to get into whatever you are giving. Can’t wait. Be well.

@Sulekha NaiduThat’s the BEST reason to be MIA! Summer was my favorite time of the year when my daughter was younger. I felt like it was the time we really got to bond without the crazy of the school year schedule. She’s in grad school now and working as an artist/ELA teacher in NYC. I spent four days with her doing Mommy daughter stuff. We even spent a day setting up her classroom and getting school supplies for her and her classroom. Enjoy what’s left of the summer. These memories last a lifetime.

@Vasavi Kumar THANK YOU for the reply! I am so glad the suggestion landed and that your “body shop” is aligned, all puns intended. And I can’t even explain why “build the reps” is right where I am. I have been in such a frustrated space with the content. I am literally sitting on multiple pieces of finished content, and some of it was professionally done.🤦🏽‍♀️
And Just Like That
Simply put, I can't keep saying I need like-minded people in my community but sideline myself in the community. So I am listening to Vasavi and Kim (live) and have rejoined. Full transparency, I was supposed to rejoin 3 weeks ago
🎤 JUST SAY IT JANUARY — DAY SIX: NAME WHAT YOU’RE PROUD OF
We’re so conditioned to perform humility that most people can’t name one thing they’re proud of without shrinking. But confidence doesn’t come from pretending you’re small. It comes from acknowledging your growth out loud. Today we flip the script. 🗣️ DAY 6 PROMPT: “What is one thing you’re genuinely proud of — in your business AND in your life?” Examples: Business: • “I kept showing up even when my numbers were low.” • “I raised my price without shaking.” • “I honored my nervous system instead of forcing visibility.” • “I stayed consistent when my old identity wanted to hide.” Life: • “I handled grief and still kept my heart open.” • “I stopped chasing people who wouldn’t meet me.” • “I rested without guilt.” • “I trusted myself more than my fear.” Your voice strengthens what it acknowledges. Extra rep: When you record your video, name one small action you’ll take in the next 24 hours to honor what you just said. Drop your Day 6 rep below. 👇🏽 Keep your videos to 2 min or less.

I just saw this and wanted to reply but did not have time to record: Forgive the typos ( I am rushing to class)👉Today I am taking a HUGE risk and investing in my business. As not to touch my emergency funds, I pulled from an investment account. It has taken me 3 months to pull the trigger. What got me to cross over? I am glad you asked :) I started my business during COVID as a tax shelter. My employer was requiring an online fitness/wellness presence during shutdown but was not reimbursing for the expense. So I sat with a CPA and we determined a 'side business' properly structured made fiscal sense. That was my first decision to invest in me even though it didn't look like it at the time. Over the past 3 months, I have sat with that and what I want my business to be moving forward as I move into my 3rd year full-time. So today is investment day and that makes me proud.
