I applied for 6 jobs and cleaned my current classroom like crazy. If I am at the same school, my room will be super clean in August. I purged things that I no longer use.
Advice please
I have been teaching for 29 years and I still get excited about each day and seeing my students learn. I am constantly trying to learn new things to improve my teaching and to stay fresh. This year I have worked with a new principal in my district. I have gone out of my way to do all that she asks and have taken on a leadership role for grades 3-5. Earlier this year she gave me a basic/needs improvement rate (our second from the worst.) I was taken back by this. Her reason was that it gives me room to grow. All the feedback she offered was to keep doing what I’m doing and organize my room better. I have continued to do all that she asked and today one week before the end of the year she sends me the final form to sign with the same terrible rating. I have never been rated this low. I am trying to hold my head high these next few days, while wanting to break down. How do I keep going with the possibility of having to work with her again next year? I have been to HR back in October and she showed me more respect after that, but she did not change anything on my evaluation. I signed it acknowledging that I have seen and read it, but stated that the score surprised me and that I am taking it as a challenge to continue my growth. Does anyone have any suggestions?

@Laura Quintanilla thank you Laura. I have a lady I can do that with and it does help. Thanks for listening too.
Post One Thing on Your Rest Plan
If you could schedule just one thing to protect your rest this summer, what would it be? A weekly unplug day? A no email rule on Sundays? Share your best rest idea—it might be exactly what someone else needs to hear.

Make time to rest & go for walks.
DONT give up!
I celebrate me ! For many state we have to take the praxis to get our licenses! Y’all after so many tries I can say today I can close them doors because I’m done taking my praxis!!! I finally passed all 4🎉‼️ This test don’t define who you are as a teacher or person! But we still have to take it… Study and keep taking it!

Congratulations!!
Struggles
Today was a tough one. I’m sitting at my desk just exhausted. My partner teacher was gone and they didn’t have a sub, so I taught all of the fifth grade in one room today. Don’t worry it is contractually under the numbers & I was paid extra. The full moon on top of it all made for a crazy day.
