I track my contracted work in google sheets and use Trello for weekly/monthly/annual checklists for all sorts of things, including financial tasks

What’s your go to Karaoke song? I’ll go first. Mine is “I think we’re alone now” by Tiffany! If you are of a certain age (like me!) you’ll know how huge this was in the 80’s! My favorite singer is still Debbie Gibson!

I send out invoices for the previous week every Monday, so that gives me a chance for a quick checkup, with a more detailed review at EOM. I like that I'm not waiting until the end of month to input my income and expenses and possibly have a surprise

Bookkeeping Software
What are you using? Is it QuickBooks, Xero, Wave, a spreadsheet? Let me know. I would love to create some training materials for you for Wave (my favorite free bookkeeping software) but not sure if many are using it?

I also track my hours and expenses in a spreadsheet and then input them into Wave. It's a little bit of double work but the spreadsheet gives me more data to work with

23rd is my EOM so I ran all my numbers today. I've been using the Profit First method and (just barely) made my earnings goal this month. I have a stretch goal I set for myself this year, so I'll be working on how to increase my earnings to meet that.

@Jeannie Guzman Around 6 or 7 years now, I believe. I know the first year I started freelancing I had no idea what I was doing on the business side, but that book helped me bring things into better focus
