My audience is responding
As I am a tech Dino, I was not really checking comments on my reels. Now I started doing it. And I have around 30 people who commented. I am very moved! Responded to all. QST: after a short personal response, shall I invite them to opt in my mailing list or lead them to RMT? (I am not sure if they signed up). What is the best way?

@Daria Chase Thank you! From experience, take the conversation into the DMs and ask questions. Then do a sell later. So what I try to do is comment publicly "thank you.... please check your DMs, I just dropped you a personal note" Then in the DMs thank you so much for your comment. I'd love to ask .... (for me its .. tell me about your Punjabi journey, I'd love to see if we can help each other). I'm not very consistent, but it works trying to build a relationship first
I just asked my community...
So I want to show up where my clients are - but I have such a wide range. I teach Punjabi to adults and children. Adults can either be: 1. beginners 2. or those who understand but can't speak 3. know how to read but can't speak 4. can speak but can't read Children 1. either focused on speaking 2. or reading and speaking I'm always confused where are these people. How do I find more of them... So I just ASKED them :) I sent an email to my list and said 1. what magazines/newspapers do you read 2. are you part of any punjabi or sikh groups? 3. what podcasts or videos/youtube do you follow/watch regularly. and I offered a 10% discount on my Punjabi Learning through Play toys as a thank you. I now have a list of 39 groups and places I can research and try to connect with. That's 39 more than I had a week ago!🙂

@Kylie Kelly It's a little more than this. The Punjabi community isn't always welcoming. There is too much competition rather than collaboration. Too much "me vs you" rather than lets lift each other up. So I guess that gets me down as it's not how I run my business or my life. I believe in giving more than I take and being generous with my knowledge and time. There is also an element of the Punjabi community that pulls down women. A women who is successful, or doing something other than housework isn't valued. I know a lot of this is my upbringing holding me back - so I do a lot of positive talking and visualising a positive outcome. Saying to myself their opinion doesn't matter.

@Lori Young Thank you
🚨 It’s happening… (and I’m SO excited about this!)
I’m running a brand new live challenge inside the community: Your Next Email - Written in 3 Days. Sent in 5. 💌 Because honestly? So many of you have told me: 👉 you’re overthinking what to send 👉 you don’t feel “ready” yet 👉 or your list just… isn’t getting emailed at all And I don’t want that for you. So this is going to be simple. Really simple. Here’s what we’re doing together: ✨ We’ll write your next email (in 3 days) ✨ Then actually send it (with support & feedback) ✨ No funnels. No complicated setups. No “perfect plan” required Just one email… done. This is for you if: You haven’t sent an email in ages You’ve never sent one before (yes, you’re welcome here) You’re stuck in “what do I even say?” You want momentum, not more information I’ll be in here every day helping, giving feedback, and making sure you don’t get stuck in your head about it - because that’s the real problem most of the time. We start April 27th. I’ll drop all the details soon - but for now… 👇 Comment “I’m in” if you want me to tag you when it goes live You don’t need a perfect strategy. You just need to send the next email. Let’s do it together!!

I'm in
I didn't let my perfectionism take over 🙌🏼
Sooo I remembered mid afternoon that today was my youtube upload day, and not next Thursday 😅 normally I would freak out because OMG I am so behind and then get so overwhelemd with everything that I would just freeze and not do anything. Talk about procrastination with perfectionism....it's a nightmate LMAO Anyway, I pulled my granny panties up and set my space up in my studio to record, hit record and GOT THE VIDEO IN ONE TAKE! I barely even had to edit it! So, it is done. It got recorded, it got a smidge of editing, and it got uploaded in all of an hour. I am so proud of myself ☺️🥰 How was your day?

Well done!!

One of the things I’ve been noticing the more I let the distance between me and social media grow is how much I throughly have enjoyed learning email marketing. Having conversations in my inbox with my ladies has felt more personal than chatting in the DM’s. Even though I’ve technically been in business for years, I never really cared to learn all these background business things…I just want to teach Yin lol. But since being here, and staying more focused on engaging with my email list, I’ve grown to love embodying more of these slower practices and tools into my slow and quiet business 🥰

I agree. Social media isn't personal anymore. Even if you leave a personal response, it goes into a black hole.
