GitHub Help!
Hi Guys! I recently completed my work experience at Bloomberg, and one of the software engineers I worked with asked to see my projects on GitHub. They mentioned that they noticed my code is currently inside the README file and suggested that I move the code into proper Python (.py) files instead. Since I'm still a beginner with GitHub, I was wondering if anyone could help guide me through the process? I also searched and found that I need to push the actual Python files to my repository, but I'm not exactly sure how to do it properly. Any advice, resources, or quick walkthroughs would be really appreciated! Please contact me through LinkedIn for help: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yogi-patel-489883328/

Hi there Yogi. What IDE did you use to code your project? If you are using the default python IDE, I suggest you use something like Visual Studio or Pycharm. It's much easier to connect to your github account and they have easy step by step tutorials on yt.
What more??
I am currently in year 12 and these are the supercurriculars I have done:- Head of economics society Head of Finances in charities committee School Economics service award recipient GCSE economics mentor Summer internships at Deutsche Bank and Masterbrain Academy (local tutor - paid) Barclays life skills course Springpod investment banking on demand course LSE annual public policy lecture attendee Royal Institute Math Masterclass presenter Minds underground essay comp IEA monetary policy essay comp State Bank of India work experience - August ‘25 On top of these, I am part of 2 different sports teams and was a volunteer. What other extracurricular/supercurricular activities do I focus on, if I have exhausted these - what should I shift my focus to now? I am new to the concept of apprenticeships and I would really appreciate feedback. Cheers

@Ritvik Yeddanapudi That sounds like a true vanguard move! You have loads and loads of evidence of your passion for the subject but yes its extremely important that you subscribe to newsletters and stay on top of news, even something as small as FT daily digest. I highly recommend you look into Averpoint if you haven't heard of it, they have a summer reading challenge coming up which will help you build a diet for news and articles. From them, I got the opportunity to join a private talk with ernie tedeschi who was the former chief economist for the white house council and who knows who the guest will be for the next challenge so I recommend you join.

@Ritvik Yeddanapudi I can tell you that the talk is definitely going help me a ton for my economics finals in a few weeks! But it was absolutely fantastic. The talk was about the details of the Trump tariffs and its global impacts around the world comparing it to historic data, how exactly markets are adapting or attempting to in the US and then we had QnA session at the end. I definitely think this could be game changing for you after exam season considering what you are looking for since its so hard to come by opportunities like this normally online.

Just looking to improve myself day by day and not fall victim to my old habits. I want to improve and be able to look back and be glad of the journey.
