I was amazed that the same place Abraham took Isaac to offer him as a sacrifice was the same place as Solomon’s temple and also very close to where Jesus was nailed on the cross! Wow!

Listening to this teaching, all I could think was how sweet His presence is. How much he delights being with us. So simple yet.. so profound. My mind has a hard time grasping that.

I was reading Luke 9:23-24 “Then He said to the crowd, ‘If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily and follow me. If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Although I’ve read these verses many times before, this time it hit me to my core. All I could think about is how costly it is to pursue Jesus and give Him E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G. It’s 100% worth it, and I believe that is where faith grows..in the daily choice to surrender everything. Where not only do you choose to trust Him, but in your heart of surrender, He can trust you.
