Companies Lose Money During Onboarding. Here’s the Silent Fix. Most HR teams don’t realize it, but every manual onboarding step costs time, creates friction, and drains productivity. One of my clients learned this the hard way he spent hours every week manually adding new hires to Calendly, removing users who left, emailing HR for approvals, updating sheets, cross-checking details, and trying not to make mistakes. He told me the process was “mentally draining” because the company relied on him alone to repeat the same tasks again and again. By the time he finished onboarding, he was already behind on his actual HR work.
