ROAST MY ABOUT PAGE BEFORE I GO PAID
I am bout to switch my community to a paid membership. I am curious to see what you all think about my About Page since that will be the only visibility into the community without paying for membership. Should i add a short video demo or do a talking one. Open to all thoughts and suggestions. https://www.skool.com/flip-florida-lien-investing-5588/about

I love the super targeted nature of your community. I wonder what is your thinking for going fully paid? Would there be value in having a freemium model, where people can get in for free, get some value, build trust and then upgrade to work with you in more depth?

@Daniel Cavaretta will change how you view tea! Such an awesome approach to such a โ€œsimpleโ€ topic!
Have you tried showing your work to your family and friends?
In my experience, and from the experience of other skoolers I talked to, they are the worst people to show it. Specially if they are not entrepeneurs themselves. They will either discourage us, saying we are wasting our time, or say that they don't get it. Or they will show fake excitement, say they will follow up with you and than nothing, only excuses. Even when you provide a service that you know that they will need they will prefer going with a more popular choice. That seems like an universal thing from the conversations I had, not something exclusive from brazilian culture. That's why I love Skool so much. I'm finally finding people who are genuinely interested in what I'm building. And I'm building a space where you can get real feedback, real insights. No sugar coating, no fake excitement. Just a community of people helping eachother and keeping it real!

I feel like my topic is quite universal so when I talk to family or friends they get the need for it quite quickly! But Iโ€™m definitely not selling it to them! If they want it Iโ€™ll let them put in the work to join rather than just have stagnant nice people.
Where are you on your sovereignty journey right now?
Gratitude brought me here. And it keeps me here. I am grateful for every soul who is on this journey with me and community of awakening, growth, and purpose. Wherever you are on this path is exactly where you are supposed to be. I am building a space for all four of these people inside Investing Possibility Estate on Skool. We start with the mind, body and the soul and we build all the way to legacy. Which one are you right now? If you want to learn more come drop by your New Estate! The door is open and the estate is yours. https://www.skool.com/investing-possibility-estate-5151/about

I'm definitely in the space of building something bigger than myself, that may someday move into a legacy - but... I'm not too focused on that - as I'd like to build something that helps others and gives me the time to spend with my kids, so that I can help them become the people they have the potential to be!

@Tara Z Love the connection between mindset and growing the things that will be the legacy and the legal side of it! It is frightening how much people lose out on just because they never explored the legal needs!
What activities are you giving to people in your community?
A common roast I give here is a very frequent mistake for people and that I also made when I joined skool. They focus too much on what they are providing inside and not enough on what the members will be doing. If you're focusing on what you're providing, if you're centering your skool on you and your content, you're not building a community. You're just using skool as a funnel to sell your infoproducts and services. And that's not wrong, it's just underusing the potential of this platform. So how are you giving incentives for people to engage inside your space? Here are some ways you can do it: - Competitions, challenges, gamification - Support - Shoutouts - Exposure opportunities - Accountability - Regular live events (where people do more than just listen to you) - Feedback (the whole premisse of this community) I always take those points into consideration when I'm sharing a community idea. Those are some of the things that makes the community feel less like a funnel where people can just consume and ditch and more like an exciting place where people can keep coming back to.

This is an area I need to think about. I've been realising how much I came here focused on what I wanted to share (which I believe is still valuable) but having to pivot a bit to turn it from a lecture to an ongoing conversation! One definite activity I want to build over time is the opportunity to practice in a safe space some of the things they need for their career - e.g. public speaking, interview skills, networking etc.

@Kitoko Ehl Yes! Love this! I've found that I stay and record things that I might not have otherwise had the time to record. I've also found it useful to record a couple of videos to my future self - "I'm here on my own, and I'm going to keep showing up and I'm going to play this video for myself in a year to remind myself of how far I've come because I stuck with it!"
