SOTD: Spicebomb Extreme by Viktor & Rolf 21/03/2026
This for me is the GOAT, in my collection. A classic winter favourite. Ever since it's release in 2015 by Carlos Benaim & Jean Christophe Hérault it's built a reputation as a heavy-hitting, cozy, high performance scent that has a touch sweetness than the original Spicebomb. Still a modern classic, with that Iconic grenade bottle. This is one of the few designer fragrances that still lives up to its Extreme title, even with modern batch variations. While the original Spicebomb is a blast of sharp black pepper and citrus, Extreme trades some of that bite for a thicker, creamier, more sophisticated dry down. A quick flash of Pimento, black pepper grapefruit gets the opening off to a great start. It’s spicy, but the citrus fades almost instantly. The core is where the extreme comes to play, with a heavy dose of cinnamon, cumin & saffron. At the base you find the soul of the fragrance. A rich blend of tobacco, bourbon vanilla, amber & Labdanum. It smells like a high-end tobacco pipe mixed with a warm vanilla latte. This will easily give you 8+ hrs in the right conditions and you will be smelling it for days from your laundry basket. It projects strongly for the first 2-3 hrs and can easily fill the room if your heavy handed with the trigger lime me. It will leave a noticeable, magnetic trail that people will catch as you walk by. Ideal for date nights, outdoor winter events, or clubbing. Is it still worth it in 2026? Hell yes. Despite newer flankers like Dark Leather & Metallic Musk, If you enjoy warm, spicy, sweet fragrances, this is a must-own for your cold-weather rotation. My Rating 10/10 Scent 3 Longevity 3 Sillage 3 Y/N 1

@Edward Mooney I own and love this fragrance brother. A top choice for sure.
Legend+ by ath
Today’s ATH is Legend+. A fresh mass appealing frag that’s great for all seasons. I feel it can shine anywhere except brutal cold. Although it’s not like I work outdoors so honestly 4 season frag for me. Today is a beautiful 65 deg and sunny here. Perfect for this one. As with all the ATH I have, the quality of this is what pulls me in. Work safe and enjoyable. Longevity is good at about 6-7 hours. Projection isn’t offensive and not blowing doors off while still filling a smaller office setting. This is an odd one for me though in that it’s outside my usual jam. What pulls me into it is the high quality that Aaron produces.

"A good perfume should be as elegant as a well-tailored suit." — Tom Ford, American Fashion Designer, Movie Director A truly great perfume is more than just a scent, it’s a statement of identity. Like a perfectly tailored suit, it should fit seamlessly, enhancing your presence without overwhelming it. It lingers with quiet confidence, leaving an impression that feels both effortless and unforgettable. In the same way fine tailoring elevates appearance, the right fragrance refines your aura, turning the ordinary into extraordinary!! Keep Moving Forward, and #EnjoytheJourney

@Renato Carotti This is such a good quote and oh so true.
Trying out the Armani Privé - Noir Kogane!
I've had this sample for a while, but haven't put it through the paces un til today. As the winter is doing its best to stick around, I thought today would be a great day to try this one out. Otherwise it will probably wait until the fall. I have to say this one for me is a pretty steep departure from what I typically wear. Not that it's a bad thing. I am really trying to push my boundaries and try new things. This scent comes out of the gate with tobacco and leather. More tobacco forward and as I am typing this it is making me want to smoke my evening cigar right now!! But in a more sweet and subtle way. I am picking up a sweetness that is a really nice softener to the leather and tobacco with a bit of vetiver (I think). It is giving me a nice scent bubble 2-3' in projection, when I move I can definitely smell it on myself. My Honest (to a fault 😎) book keeper hasn't mentioned anything good or bad, so I wasn't called a "French Whore" so that bodes well for the scent. We will see how the longevity is, but so far the dry down has been very nice. The jury is still out on whether it's FBW or not. Hope you all have a great day!!

Visionair by Michael Malul
"Crisp, clean, and self-confident, Visionair is a fragrance for the modern man. Opening on fresh notes of iris and lemon verbena, the green scent of violet leaves slices across a rich backdrop of ambergris and sandalwood, creating a distinctively masculine fragrance gleaming with refreshing clarity." - a note from the brand.
