I’m a first generation veteran who turned wrenches on aircraft. My time in the service allowed me to work with some Marines and pick up their training habits. From there, I’ve practiced my own situational awareness with my own family and kept practicing. My key notes would be to maintain awareness as well as mindfulness and I’ll be diving into this area with and without the use of defense tools. More on that later.
