Reposting own reel
Last night before bed this was at like 300 likes, so I “reposted” it on my own page and shared on my own story- 12 hours later it gained 1600 likes- Wasn’t sure if it was placebo at first, but seems to really help a lot.

Got a clip you’re not sure about before you post it? Upload it here and I’ll give you feedback before it goes live. Doesn’t need to be finished. Raw cuts, rough edits, half-baked ideas are all welcome. Better to get eyes on it now than wonder after it’s posted. Upload your clip below and I’ll get back to you with notes.

Love this, will take advantage of it after American nationals this weekend (gonna just post easy stuff til then)
First week done!
Set my 2 goals for week one to be 5 Instagram posts, and 3 Skool posts. Monday I completely forgot to post 🤦‍♂️, so started on Tuesday, and went through sat. By Monday the next week I’ve gained 100 followers already! Also the first post where I tried to focus on my followers perspective instead of mine for the caption blew up! (for my page) the goal to post/stay engaged in here helped me learn the things that helped my first week go smooth.

I actually deleted part of this post saying my biggest challenge will be to stay consistent. Actually that link is what helped me this week just have a guideline each day so I could just look and see what the plan says. Still a a bit hesitant to do a reaction video to an event or breakdown someone else’s match, just something I’ve never done yet.
Write for the stranger, not your friends
We've already covered this in the past, but it's worth reviewing and making sure all executions have this in mind. A stranger gives you two lines before deciding whether to keep reading. "Tough day in the gym" gives them nothing to use. "3 guard passing mistakes that got me swept at ADCC trials" tells them exactly what they'll walk away with. Lead with the payoff. The technique fix, the training principle, the protocol. Put it in the first two lines so a stranger knows why the post is worth their time. Most athlete creators post like everyone already follows them. Training updates, personal reflections, the day's workout split all work as content, but you need to tell a stranger why they should care. This week: Pull your last five posts. Read only the first two lines of each. Mark every one that tells a stranger what they'll gain: a fix, a principle, a solution. If you can't mark at least three, your next post leads with the result. "This shoulder mobility drill added 20 pounds to my overhead press in 12 weeks" gives a reader a reason to stop scrolling. " Been working on mobility lately" doesn't hit

Reminds me of the book “how to win friends and influence people”. He mentions that people trying to convince others often lead with selfish reasoning so their points don’t come across. Versus if you frame it with what the other person gets out of it first, it will help other people to see your point.
Competitor vs Coach
Hey, I’m new to the Skool group my names Grayson. I have 2 scenarios where I l feel conflicted. First I see a lot of people post breakdowns of other athletes techniques etc, and I like the content but I feel like that makes me view them more as a coach/breakdown guy than a competitor. Second is on the Bio post Chase made recently. I don’t want to be like “level up your game in 4 sessions” because It looks like I’m a Jiu Jitsu coach first that competes second. Where I view myself as an athlete who coaches, not a coach who competes. I just don't want to sacrifice the image of a competitor to be a coach if my main goal is to be a competitor. Any advice is appreciated!

@Chase Smith that helps a ton. All intuitive and feels like I should’ve understood already lol. Thanks
