What guitar support are you currently using?
I don't want to start a debate about guitar supports 😅, just want to know which one you're using at the moment... Footrest, Ergo-Play, Guitarlift, Sagework... Right now I'm using LeSupport by Thomas Viloteau!

Dynarette with low footstool

I find it more secure when used with a footstool. The dynarette can be a bit squeaky when recording but that’s easily solved by covering it with a soft cloth.
What set of strings are you playing now?
I don't want to start a string debate 😅, just know what set of strings is on your guitar right now! I'm actually playing, since yesterday, a set of Augustine Imperial Medium Red.

I like the Knobloch Leo Brouwer 34.0 med tension. For feel, warmth, and interesting overtones. They also last a long time.
Floating braces
Does anyone here have any experience or knowledge of floating braces?

Hi David, maybe bridge brace is a better description. The upper and lower braces in my guitar ( see photo) are not glued to the underside of soundboard but attached to shorter vertical braces. My luthier says it adds a three dimensional sound. I’m very happy with the sound and this guitar, made in 2018, is holding up well. I wonder how common this bracing concept is.

Hi Michael, thank you for the link, very interesting. It seems to be quite a unique design feature in newly built classical guitars.
Suggestions for Improvements?
Hi Stewart, If we have suggestions for you, where is the best place to put them? For example, someone on Delcamp mentioned that they would like to make the photo uploading process easier when you upload your profile avatar. I would like to see a feature where the upload process will automatically scale the image to the correct size. Maybe "Skool" has a plug-in that will do that?

I just added a photo to a post on this forum and it worked effortlessly. It was always an obstacle on Delcamp.
Micromesh: is it useful?
Currently, I prepare my nails with 1x1 inch pieces of 600 grade sandpaper for rough shaping, then old, worn-out pieces of the same (probably de-facto 1200 grade or finer) for final polishing. Many days I do just the polishing. Over the decades (like most of you, probably), I've learned to detect even microscopic roughness by running the opposite thumbnail along each nail. With all that in mind, would micromesh be worthwhile? It's quite expensive, and I imagine it would be hard to get the thick pads positioned to polish the inside of my nails, where I like to focus the most. I should also mention that I play with relative-short nails (just 1-2 mm past the flesh).

Have you tried AutoZone? They have great selection of fine grade sandpaper and buffing materials!

I have been playing classical guitar for over thirty years. At various times I’ve even been paid to do it!
