Hi everyone! I'm from Florida and I own a trucking and dispatch company. My biggest goal in government contracting is to secure sufficient funding to obtain a large piece of land and develop a state-of-the-art truck parking facility that provides safe, reliable, and much-needed parking for drivers. My biggest struggle in government contracting is knowing where to start, identifying the right resources, and understanding how to properly apply for grants and government funding opportunities. I recently secured an award for an oil recycling contract, which is to be executed by my subcontractor. However, after the award notice was issued, I realized there was a misunderstanding in the pricing due to an error on my part in explaining the scope of work to the subcontractor. Now, the subcontractor is requesting nearly 5x the original amount. How should I proceed to address this situation effectively?
