🙌🏻 Weekly Reset - Everything we do is Worship
Something I think a lot of us wrestle with as creative entrepreneurs is the quiet question in the back of our minds: does this work really matter to God? When we are worshiping at church, volunteering in ministry, or serving in something that looks obviously spiritual, it’s easy to recognize that what we are doing is worship. But when we are answering emails, editing galleries, designing websites, baking cakes, managing social media accounts, or trying to keep a business running while raising kids… it can start to feel very ordinary. And yet the story of Scripture constantly reminds us that God has never separated the sacred from the everyday in the way we often do. One of the most fascinating places we see this is in the building of the tabernacle in the book of Exodus. God gives incredibly detailed instructions for how the tabernacle should be constructed. But what stands out is not just the design. It is who He calls to do the work. In Exodus 31, God specifically names a craftsman named Bezalel and says that He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and skill in all kinds of craftsmanship. This man was not a priest or a prophet. His role was to create. To carve wood. To work with metal. To design beautiful things that would help form the space where God’s people would meet with Him. I love seeing that God empowered someone creatively and practically for work that was deeply meaningful in His kingdom. This should remind us that creativity and craftsmanship have always had a place in God’s story. Creating something beautiful, thoughtful, and excellent has never been outside the scope of worship. The same principle carries into the way we approach our work today. Worship is not just singing. Worship is the posture of our heart as we offer our work back to God. It’s the photographer who treats a wedding day with care because marriage reflects something sacred about covenant. It’s the designer who uses their gifts to help someone’s vision come to life. It’s the entrepreneur who serves people honestly and builds something that blesses others.

📣Weekly Reset - Calling and Purpose in the Work of Our Hands
Each week on Friday, I'll be sharing a weekly faith-filled photography reset devotional to encourage you and challenge you as a business owner! This is the first of many! I hope you're encouraged, friend! Calling and Purpose in the Work of Our Hands Scripture: Ephesians 2:10 In Ephesians chapter two, Paul is reminding believers in Ephesus of the foundation of the Christian life. Earlier in the passage, he makes it very clear that salvation is not something we earn through our efforts. In verses eight and nine he writes that we are saved by grace through faith and that this salvation is a gift from God, not the result of our works. Immediately after saying that salvation is not earned through works, Paul says something incredibly important in verse ten. He writes that we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand so that we might walk in them. The word translated as workmanship carries the sense of something intentionally crafted. It communicates the idea that believers are not random or accidental. Our lives have been formed by God with care and purpose. For many creative entrepreneurs, work can quietly become the place where we try to prove our value. We chase growth, recognition, or success because we feel that our significance is tied to what we produce. Yet Paul presents a different order. First comes grace. Then identity. Only after that comes work. Our work does not establish our worth. Our work flows from who we already are in Christ. Throughout Scripture we see God using the skills and vocations of ordinary people. In the Old Testament, artisans like Bezalel were filled with the Spirit of God to create the tabernacle with beauty and craftsmanship. In the New Testament, MANY early believers were merchants, tradespeople, and craftsmen who served God faithfully through their daily work. Your creativity, leadership, and skill are NOT disconnected from your faith. They are part of how you participate in the work God is doing in the world.
✨ Introduce Yourself
Hi friend. If you’re new here, this is the best place to start! Before you scroll too far, I would love for you to introduce yourself so we can all get to know each other a little better. So go ahead and drop a comment below and tell us a little about you. Here are a few easy prompts if you’re not sure what to say. ✨ Your name and where you're from ✨ What kind of creative work you do (or want to do) ✨ What stage of business you’re in ✨ One thing you’re currently working on or dreaming about building ✨ Something fun about you that has nothing to do with business (I'll go first!) You don’t have to have everything figured out to be here. Most of us are building and learning as we go. I’m really excited to see what everyone is creating. Grace 🤍

Hi friends! I’ll go first 🤍 My name is Grace. I’m based in North Texas and I’ve been a photographer for about six years now. I photograph weddings and personal brands, and I also love helping other creatives build businesses that actually support their lives instead of completely consuming them. Over the last few years I’ve worn a lot of creative hats. Photographer, coach, podcaster, content creator, full-time student, MOM, and honestly just someone who loves building things and helping other people do the same. This community grew out of a desire I kept feeling over and over again. I wanted a place where creative women could talk about the real side of building a business. Not just the highlight reel, but the systems, the ideas, the pivots, and the behind the scenes decisions that actually shape a creative career. Right now I’m working on growing this community, building out some creative business education, photographing weddings, finishing my marketing degree, recording a podcast, and raising my babies alongside all of it. Life feels full in the best way. A random fun fact about me is that I was a TikTok LIVE Host for several months in 2025, so that's where a lot of this community came from originally! :) I’m really excited to see what everyone here is building and dreaming about. So introduce yourself below. I can’t wait to meet you! Grace 🤍
