Step 1 – Locate jack point (with pictures) • Check your owner’s manual for the exact jack points; most cars use reinforced spots behind the front wheels and in front of the rear wheels along the pinch weld. • Many manuals include diagrams; you can also see general jack point photos here: https://www.autozone.com/diy/trustworthy-advice/where-are-the-jacking-points-on-a-car[autozone] Step 2 – Prep the wheel • If there is a hubcap, pry it off with the flat end of the lug wrench so you can see the lug nuts. • Use the lug wrench to loosen (but not remove) each lug nut by turning counterclockwise while the tire is still on the ground.
