Lesson #38 – MIND SET SHIFT: Your Workout Isn't a Task... It's a Time Window ⏰💪
One of the biggest mindset shifts I've made over the last few years has completely changed my consistency... I stopped seeing workouts as something hard in my day that I had to DO... and started seeing them as a block of time I had to HONOUR - A window of time that I would carve into my day... Think about it... If I told you to go and do 45 minutes of squats, presses, lunges and burpees, your brain immediately starts negotiating. "I'll do it later..." "I'm too tired..." "I don't have time today..." "I have to get this and that ready and then I have to shower, wash my hair, re-apply make-up..." That's where procrastination begins. Instead... Don't focus on "the workout". Focus on the clock. Whether it's 15, 30 or 60 minutes, your only job is to show up for that time window and SEE it as a time window. A beautiful time window, and outside of that window you see yourself as the version of yourself you know you can be! Wonderful thought, isn't it 😊 You can even book it into your schedule as "Happy Hour." 😊 It's non-negotiable. Just like you wouldn't cancel a meeting with your boss... And if we are honest, YOU are the boss of yourself right - Why would you cancel a meeting with the person responsible for your health, happiness and future? (You) ...And I know what you are thinking when reading that - Sure, but I can't control all of the circumstances in my life, what about: Work... Kids... Traffic... Long hours... Unexpected travel... Falling sick... Falling down the stairs... These aren't in control of your life. They're simply variables that you have to navigate, and with each situation you have to take it by the b*lls and own it - if it knocks you down you get back up, reassess and keep moving forward. So in the future... When it's time to train, walk into your workout space, close the door behind you, look at the clock and picture the time you'll finish - That's your finish line! Also imagine the feeling you get at the end, the endorphin rush and feeling of accomplishment and strength you get.

Lesson #37 – Why Exercise Gives You More Energy, Not Less 💪
"I'm too exhausted to work out." It's one of the biggest myths in fitness. The truth is... training is where your energy comes from. Yes, the first couple of weeks can feel tough. Your body is adapting. But then the magic starts to happen... 🧠 Your brain builds stronger neurological pathways, making movement more efficient and requiring less effort. ⚡ Your body creates more mitochondria - the tiny "power stations" inside your cells that produce energy. More mitochondria = more energy available throughout the day. 💪 Your muscles get stronger, so everyday tasks become easier. ❤️ Your heart becomes more efficient, lowering your resting heart rate and blood pressure. 🔥 Inflammation gradually decreases. ⚖️ Your hormones become better regulated, improving energy, mood and recovery. 😴 You sleep better. 🏃 You move better. Every workout is an investment. Not just in burning calories... ...but in building a body that produces more energy instead of constantly running out of it. Fitness isn't a one-way street. It's an 8-lane motorway, where every adaptation feeds into the next: ➡️ Better movement patterns ➡️ More mitochondria ➡️ Stronger muscles ➡️ Better heart health ➡️ Lower blood pressure ➡️ Reduced inflammation ➡️ Improved hormone regulation ➡️ Better sleep and recovery And together, they all lead to the same destination: A fitter, healthier, lighter... and far more energetic version of you. So next time you tell yourself... "I'm too tired to train." Remember... Training isn't draining your energy. It's building your future energy. And this is REALLY important so take it on board: This all takes time! Your body is building on the inside, you may not see it, but it is happening. The general runway takes 8 to 12 weeks - then you enter the cruise phase 💪

Lesson #34 – 🧠 Don't Be Afraid of Feeling Hungry!
We get hungry for 2 reasons: 1. Our bodies need nutrients 2. Our bodies are craving energy If you are eating a balanced diet with an overall good nutritional profile, with enough: - Protein - Fruits - Veggies - and fibrous wholegrain carbs Then you are golden and good to go on reason number one! Side note: Supplements are a great way to ensure all targets are being met if you question you are getting enough nutrients, or if you are in a super low caloric deficit. So feel free to get some! (feel free to reach out and ask me for recommendations if you wish!) Now let's address reason number 2: If your goal is to lose body fat, your body needs to be in an energy (calorie) deficit—meaning you're burning more energy than you're eating. Because of that, feeling a little hungry from time to time is completely normal! In fact, it's often a sign that you're on the right track. The important part is "a little." ❌ You shouldn't feel starving all day. ❌ You shouldn't be feeling dizzy, lethargic or "dead" Learning to tolerate small periods of hunger is part of the fat-loss process, and this feeling of hunger comes in waves - These "hunger waves" are always worst in the first 4 to 8 weeks on a weight loss journey. Then you slowly enter the cruising phase, where your body becomes efficient at burning your bodies fat for fuel and the "hunger waves" die down. Remember, feeling hungry isn't the same as starving and needing to eat immediately! Your appetite also changes naturally depending on overall strain, and life variables like: 😴 Sleep quality 😤 Stress levels 🏃 Activity levels 💧 Hydration 🩸 Hormones (especially around the menstrual cycle and menopause) So don't panic if one day you are unusually hungrier than the next. 💪 What you should do if an abnormal amount of hunger takes over: ✅ Drink a glass of water first. ✅ Stick to your usual meal plan. ✅ Prioritise protein and fibre - this (along with plenty of water) will keep you fuller for longer! ✅ Give it 15–20 minutes after a meal before getting a second portion or reaching for a snack.

Big Fat YES to huel as a supplementary meal replacement shake! Great boost to the day and convenient! But remember: normal wholefoods should make up 80% of your total food 😉 But I have a very positive opinion on Huel Black (tried to get them onboard as an affiliate but they don't run affilate programs)
Lesson #36 – "I Don't Have Time To Track My Food..." ⏱️🍽️📲
Let's bust one of the biggest myths in nutrition because I know some of you need to hear this... "I don't have time to track my food." Let's get into this and break this down... Twenty five years ago, people WISHED they had a tool that could instantly tell them how many calories and macros were in their meals just by typing in what they ate. That then turned into people saying... "If only I could just take a photo of my food and get the info, instead of typing everything into a tracking app and searching through a huge database of meals..." Well, guess what!... Now we now have that! If fact, we are now spoilt with this technology. You guys are even more lucky because you have this feature built into the coaching app! Tracking with Macro-Snap, takes around 10–30 seconds, sure it's not 100% accurate and half the time we have to tweak 1 or 2 details, but it's the most efficient and time effective way to track your meals. Let's do the maths. 🍳 Breakfast = 30 seconds 🥗 Lunch = 30 seconds 🍽️ Dinner = 30 seconds 🍎 2–3 snacks/ drinks = 60–90 seconds Total time = Around 3 minutes per day. - Three minutes to stay in control of your nutrition. -Three minutes to give me the information I need to coach you properly and progress your plan. -Three minutes that could be the difference between making progress... or staying exactly where you are or heaven forbid, going backwards and putting weight on. Even if we multiplied this time by 4, and each meal took two minutes to track that would still take a grand total of 12minutes of your day - Sorry, but that is doable, even in the busiest of schedules. The truth is... It usually isn't a time problem. It's a priority problem or a forgetfulness issue, that then turns into an effort problem. That "oh sh*t I forgot to track that last meal" turns into "ah, let me do it later!", then of course later comes and the thought of figuring it all out becomes an extra task leading to a "whatever!" situation - but those whatever's build up and turn ugly really soon!

@Annette Humes as long as you have a protein base in your meals and pack on the veggies and wholegrains, and you stick to your calories you are golden! The option for a meal plan is always there if you need inspiration to see how you can reach your nutritional goals - just say the word and I can assign one to you 😉
Lesson #35 – Holiday Season Is Here! ☀️🌴
For many of you, the summer holidays are either here or just around the corner. This is the time of year we all look forward too ! So let's get into a solid fitness strategy: First things first... I want you to enjoy your holiday! You've worked hard all year. You've earned the break, the memories and yes... the food! I don't expect you to spend your holiday weighing chicken breasts or worrying about every calorie. In fact I want your mindset to shift to: YOU are in control. This is where the core principle of what we are doing comes into practice... Every choice has a trade-off. If you choose to indulge more than usual, that's absolutely fine. Just understand that you'll probably have a little more work to do when you get home. No guilt. No punishment. Just reality. In my experience trying to lose weight on holiday is just not worth the strain and mental burden - you are there to enjoy yourself and relax, blend the weight loss into your normal home/ work life, that is after all why we are doing this. Side Note: A good pump sesh down in the hotel gym is always on the cards before a visit to the beach - this a I do advocate ☀️🌴💪😎 But our main objective is damage control and keeping things on a level. My 3-R Holiday Nutrition System🍽️ ☀️ R-ise: Start the day with a proper breakfast. Enjoy the hotel buffet! Build a plate with plenty of protein, fruit and foods that will keep you full. 🥗 R-efresh. During the day, keep things lighter. Think: 🍎 Fruit 🥤 Smoothie 🥗 Salad 🥣 Yoghurt bowl Enough to keep you going without arriving at dinner absolutely starving - and stay hydrated. 🍷 R-eward: In the evening... Enjoy yourself! Order the local speciality, Experience the culture, Share dessert if you fancy it. Food is part of travelling - don't miss out because you're "on the QuickFit-360 program." A simple calorie split to put some numbers into the game: If your daily target is 1,500 kcal, aim roughly for: - Breakfast – 600 kcal (40%) - Light lunch/snack – 300 kcal (20%) - Dinner – 600 kcal (40%)

Every "No" is not a restriction - it is a small win that brings you closer to your goals, when you accept this mind-set it gives YOU the power to carry it on. We are stronger than our cravings! The feeling of guilt afterwards is also mentally draining in the long run. We need to treat these things as what they are designed to be - Treats! As soon as they become a daily staple is when they feel like "cheats" and that is a bad place to be, especially mentally. Well done on all fronts, this is how it starts 💪😎
