A SINGER CONFESSION
Let’s be honest for a moment. Have you ever rehearsed a single note over and over refining it, adjusting it, working for perfection only to deliver it flawlessly when no one was recording? It’s almost as if the best takes happen when the pressure disappears. As performers, we all have those moments when something works effortlessly in private, yet feels just out of reach under observation. I’m curious what’s your it only works when nobody’s watching experience? Let’s talk about it.

@My Name Is Written would you say it’s easier to record at home or in the studio?

@My Name Is Written I think that is a great solution than hahahah. But in general, as a rapper some people say they need a home studio, while others say they can sound more authentic in a studio setting. What is your POV?
How Vocals Can Transform a Track šŸŽµ
I’ve been thinking a lot about how tracks evolve from a rough idea into a full song. One thing I’ve noticed is that layering vocals, even just a simple topline or demo, can completely shift how a track feels. Vocals aren’t just an ā€œadd-on.ā€ They can: - Highlight the emotion behind a chord progression - Reveal parts of the arrangement that might need adjusting - Give energy and focus to a section that feels flat - Inspire new melodies or changes you wouldn’t have thought of otherwise Sometimes, just hearing a vocal idea over a track helps everyone involved understand its full potential, even before a song is fully produced. I’m curious: for those of you creating music, do you usually hear a vocal idea in your head while working on a track, or do you prefer leaving it open and letting it evolve naturally?

I am not an artist myself but I am very curious about your point of viewā˜ŗļø
What is your biggest income stream in music?
I’m genuinely curious how most musicians here are generating their revenue. It’s a conversation I often have with members of my team, because the answer says a lot about positioning, leverage, and long-term strategy. Are you relying mostly on live shows, publishing, streaming, production work, brand deals, or something else entirely? I’d love to hear how you’ve structured it.

I said masters, as my producers earn most from either masters or a full master buyout, as money now is often worth more than money later.
